Camp host was very friendly and allowed us to switch campsite. Nice and woodsy. There is traffic noise during the day as is close to the hwy, but at night was quiet. Bathrooms were really clean.

Nice tent campground close to Sedona. The road noise wasn't too bad, and you can also hear the stream at night. Firewood is $8/bundle, I would recommend buying it before getting there.

I love this place! Plenty of shade, small campground, no mega-rvs allowed, quiet and lovely

This campground is a great spot. It is quiet, next to water stream and relaxing. Close enough to the city center to grab supplies when needed and explore.

Gorgeous scenery, friendly neighbors, good campground host, close to Sedona.

Solo camping trip with my pup. First time here. Was wonderful. Sites are very close together, so you will interact with others. This site (14) shares an access path with the creek and theres a small sandy area to set up a chair or blanket. Not enough room for two different parties however. Sites 12-15 are not pull in so its a bit of a struggle to load/unload. These sites are also right across from the bathrooms and water. Smell can be a bit much. Thats why I always carry peppermint oil in my camp gear. Overall, this was enjoyable and not overrun with visitors as there is no extra parking.

The host was excellent! Very informative and great to chat with. The campsite was larger than expected. The creek access was also much closer than expected.. along with the swimming pool at the end of the creek. Looking forward to my next visit at Manzanita Campground, thank you!

One of our favorite campsites in the area. It’s picturesque and close to town

This campground was nice but a lot of outside visitors enter the camp. Our assigned parking spot was taken a few times when we arrived by people not staying in the campground. Also purchase wood in town. The wood we were sold was wet and full of mold.

Beautiful camping spot with Oak Creek a few feet away and gorgeous scenery!

Campground was quiet and enjoyed the site being on the river. The only downside was I could literally smell the vault toilet at my campsite.

Exceptionally nice host; rushing stream blocks out nearby traffic noise
@SheriL261 · Camped on Sep 15, 2021 at Campsite #14
The creek was great but the campsites are way too close together with nothing separating them.

Campground location next to Oak Creek is wonderful and cooler in the summer.

When I made the reservation for Memorial Day Weekend almost 6 months in advance the site was reservation for Monday - Thursday and First Come First Serve for the weekend. When we arrived at the site on Thursday for our reservation I was told that the campground reservation had changed and was now all reservation based and all the FCFS sites were full. This was a HUGE inconvenience for my family and I who just drove 8 hours with a toddler expecting to spend the weekend on the river. We then had to pack up our entire camp after a short night and find a new place to stay during 90+ degree weather on a holiday weekend! It is completely unacceptable that no notice was given to people who already had reservations at the campsite or even a courtesy email from Recreation.gov. This experience really made me rethink all further reservations I make on this site.

All that said - the campground host was awesome and very helpful despite the awful change to the campground made by Recreation.gov.

The camp host was so helpful!
The site is gorgeous. Sites along the creek are prime. Avoid sites straight across from the bathrooms. The smell from the vault toilets can be bad depending on the way the wind is going.

We liked our campsite #14, but campsites are too close. No privacy from next campsite. Very near the stream. Not too close or too far from the bathroom. Bathroom wasn't as clean as other campsites I've been to. Male host was very nice. When we got there, someone was in our parking stall. Apparantly, people thought our campsites were FCFS, but ours was reservable. So, the people setup camp first before checking with the host or reading the occupant's name on the camp sign. They had to breakdown after realizing the campsite was already reserved,
