Great spot right outside Sedona. Stayed by the creek and was able to walk across the street for a nice hike. We will definitely be back!

Great little campground with well maintained sites just north of Sedona going up SR 89A. Camp hosts were great. Sites run parallel to Oak Creek, and it was awesome hearing the water run all night! Definitely a tent only campground and if you want the best spot, my money is on site 19. It's tucked into the corner of the campground, has unobstructed access to the creek and offers the best dispersion from adjacent sites. Enjoy!

Beautiful scenic campground in the canyon north of Sedona. Tents only, so prepare accordingly. Great swimming spots nearby for those hot Arizona summers. Campground host was friendly and maintained a tidy camp. Pretty small so reservations are essential. No bathrooms, showers or sinks, just pit toilets. Calm and quiet. Very relaxing under the beautiful canopy of trees.

All campsites a little close together, but overall beautiful place. Great hike trailhead right across the road. Nice creek sounds to sleep to. Super clean toilets. Camp hosts friendly and with firewood to vend. Also very close to Slide Rock State Park and downtown Sedona. Great picnic tables!

Had a good time, but the host was a little unaged and grumpy but other than that everything went well.

We stayed in 19, we were on the edge by the creek, so it felt more private even though the campsites were full. Pit toilets were clean, host was nice. Love that we could just walk across 89 and start Sterling pass trail. So peaceful hearing the creek

Small campground with beautiful views. We lucked out and got a spot here for 2 days and loved the place. Slide Rock is a 5 minute drive and highly recommend. Sedona Arizona is also just down the road. If you are lucky enough to get a spot here take it right away or you will miss out .

Near Sedona, however was not informed of ongoing construction until day before my stay. Would have been nice to know before hand that the site would be inaccessible from the south for the majority of the day.Signage for the campground from the south side needs improvement as it is very easy to miss at night.

Clean and friendly Camo Host Heather and spouse (sorry didn’t get a make) both worked efficiently as soon as camp site was cleared they both cleaned them and got them ready for next camper and went around to make sure you were ok. Creek was fully stocked of fish - however the creek should be available only to campers here at campground to avoid crowds and they litter and leave. Just my only complaint

We had a blast! The park is perfectly small and quiet. Placed along the scenic highway and the Oak River. River access is quite easy with a few places to dunk your whole body. The camp host were very helpful and friendly. We can’t wait to go back!!

Pros: Friendly camp hostess, clean site, lots of large trees and shade, trails to explore to the creek and meadows, as well as to a strenuous hiking trail. My campsite 19 had plenty of space and a sweet level area to lay my bed. NO Rvs! meant no generators the night I was there- such a blessing to be away from generators. (Other national forest campgrounds in this area allow generators from 6am-9pm. which are my waking hours. Wish they followed the state park practices of more limited generator hours. Or how about no generator areas for those of us who still come to nature to enjoy the peace and quiet. :) Con: The only con was how close the road is and thus the sound of steady traffic early and late in the evening. You can get away from the noise at the creek. :)

Host had comes blocking all entrance points. Could not find him. Finally had to move comes to get in . He was hostile to deal with. Bad attitude. He needs to be reassigned to a position he is happy with.

Our family stayed mid March in spot 19 which had plenty of room to spread out, but noticed that the campground itself is very chilly! Were from Phoenix, so 42 degrees at night is cold for us. Keep in mind that this campground is between 2 rock mountains and the sun finally comes through the mountains at 9 am (in March). Very close to Slide Rock, a must do as a family. Although Sedona was absolutely crazy busy this time of year and we noticed all the prices raised, even at Chipotle we had fun. Theres a creek w/ running water, bathrooms, but no shower. Running well water to wash up though. Note, this campground is right by the road, no matter what spot you have. Grounds keeper/host was very nice and accommodating and mostly kept to himself. We will return in the summer when its much warmer because we love the heat! Happy camping!!!

I was at site 19. The tent pad needs to be raised or filled in so that you are not in a hole. This is especially important if it rains or is wet. The water can sit in that hole. Please fix. Having said that I love the campground... just fix that hole and it would be perfect.
