Hidden gem. Great facilities, lake is Hawaii warm. Some of the sites are a steep drive in/out, 4x4 definitely bailed us out as we were towing a trailer lol!

We love this park! Second summer in a row visiting and it did not disappoint. Staff are super friendly and facilities are always well maintained. Campground is located on a beautiful lake and there is plenty to do in and around Blue Ridge. Definitely our happy place!

This was our first time camping here. Really nice campground with clean bathhouses. Our site was great! We enjoyed the lake and the weather. Only regret was not staying longer. We will be back!

Wonderful camping experience with our family! We did have a major issue one night that I wanted to address - it became a good thing!Midway through our camping there, it started to rain. Some were inside the camper cooking, while I was outside under the awning. Then we lost power. I checked the connections, and the pedestal was working. So I checked the cord coming into the camper. It would not come off the camper...because it had apparently arched for some reason and was melted together. I was able to take them apart (after disconnecting all power). Fortunately, we were okay, and there's was no fire. The managers, Jesse and Katy, stopped by and we told them what happened. Jesse gave a few suggestions and offered to help in any way. When I completely disassembled the cord, I brought it over to the camp host, Allen, to see if he could assist. He, too, made a couple of suggestions, including information about where to buy a new 30-amp cord and inlet for the RV. He also said he would help with rewiring the new inlet.The next morning, I drove about an hour away to Ellijay, GA, where was able to purchase a new 30-amp cord, inlet for the RV, and a surge protector. Allen came over and assisted me with the install. We were concerned there might be further damage inside the electrical system, but he used his electric gauge, and we were running fine.I am certainly grateful for the support of Jesse, Katy, and Allen. Leaders and camp hosts like this are quite special, and we certainly appreciate their help. Already looking forward to our next camping excursion to Morganton Point...just without any electrical issues!!!Thank you much,Bill Davis

Beautiful and Well-Maintained CampsiteWe had a great experience at this campground. The entire site was clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. The restrooms were especially impressivevery clean and well-kept throughout our stay.We stayed at Site 33, which offered excellent access to the lakeperfect for enjoying the view and quick water activities.If you're tent camping at this site, just a heads-up: you'll need about a 75 ft hose and power cord to run water and electricity down to the campsite from the hookups. Not a big deal, just something to plan for.Overall, highly recommend this spot and would definitely return!

Had a really nice stay. Site #10 is not very level making difficult to level out camper. Outside of that the hostesses were very nice and friendly ready to help in any way. The comfort station was very clean

Supposed to stay on site 10 and understood it had a slope. This particular site is not even close to being level (9.5" slope from drivers to passengers side.). It also should only be label for a 25 ft or less. I have a 30ft trailer and it took me a while to back into the site because of a big rock and tree you have maneuver around to back in. After finally getting into the site we felt it was very unsafe for my wife to walk around. The the pictures showed the bathhouse was near but it was also an incline and the grass hadn't been mowed to walk up to it. Again I felt it was unsafe for my wife. After asking to be reimburse I was declined by park host. I understood one day but not the other 2 days we were scheduled to stay. This is the first time we ever felt unsafe at a COE park throughout all our travels. This is the nearest one way roads at a COE park we have ever stayed. This is not big rig friendly.

Our water connection was leaking at ground level. Probably damage frost free head. We reported this first thing the next morning. Was told it would be on the list with the other one that leaked. We had a small river that flowed thru our site the whole time. I shut off the water when we left for adventures outside the park, but within an hour after returning a river again. We had this for 7 days that we were there. do not know if it ever got fixed.

This site was recently renovated.Pros -1. Decent lot size and flat surface (gravel)2. Quiet and beautiful3. lake view4. shaded5. electric and water hookup6. very nice and helpful hosts7. clean toilet, hot showerCons-1. need to use stairs to reach the camp site from car2. electric and water hook ups are on the road at the top of stairs (bring cable and pipe, or call the camp host if they can arrange)3. toilets and bath houses are far, good 10 mins uphill downhill walk4. the alignment of the tent site and the fire grill is a bit inconvenient, when you come down from stairs the camp site is first and then the grill, so every time you have to cross the tent strings to reach the grill and bench.Note: Site#33 has a better view (with above cons)

I really liked this campground. Close to town but secluded and very peaceful. I loved staying right on the lake and getting up early for sunrise. Structures seemed new and well-maintained. Staff was very friendly.

We spent six nights on site 9. It is considered a group site and is a little more expensive than some of the other sites. It is a pull through site and has great access to the lake. The site was a bit tricky to get into with our 30 ft travel trailer. It was also a little bit of work to get it level but we did manage. We noticed that there were several sites that could be a bit of a challenge due to either backing up into them or down into them. It appears that once you are on the site it's level it's just getting into it that could be the problem. This particular site had electric and water available and there is a dump station within the park for you to use. The park has two bath houses, and it appears the newer one is closest to this site. This newer bath house was very clean and spacious. All of the staff that we interacted with were helpful and friendly. They offered ice and firewood for purchase. The campground is about 15 minutes from the town of Blue Ridge. They did not offer a laundry facility here but there was a nice laundromat in town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Morganton Point!! The hosts were all so welcoming and helpful. We stayed in tent site A and it was perfect! Right near the parking lot so we didnt have to trek our things far. It is also right on the water where the sunrises are gorgeous! Weve stayed at many Forest service campgrounds and this one was very impressive. The bathrooms were clean, warm, and not crowded. We cant wait to come back. Its the perfect base camp to explore the area!

We camped at Campsite #14 which is at a beautiful location. It borders the lake and is a nice distance from the showerhouse. The facilities are well kept and the staff are nice. The campsites are spacious with a picnic table, tent pad, and a nice fire ring. We really enjoyed are stay here!

Hands down this is the best campground weve ever visited. We are a family of 4 including 2 young children. We tent camped for 3 nights at campsite 13. The sites are well spread out and close proximity to the water. The bathrooms were in excellent conditions. The camp hosts were extremely accommodating and even came straight to our site moments after we got there with cute coloring books and a scavenger hunt for the kiddos. It was so peaceful and we will 100% be back. There is a dollar general 3 minutes away for essentials and many restaurants within a short drive if thats what youre after. I do wish there was a small playground but I appreciate that my littles were forced to use their imagination and be creative with their surroundings.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
