Quiet - most of the time...[a motorcycle group came in and played music at their site, a liitle louder than i would have liked if we were camped next to them...thankfully we were not...but that can happen anywhere.] Clean bath house and grounds. We come here when we just need a couple of days rest.

the grounds are well kept and the host are helpful and friendly. The bathrooms could use more heat but they are clean,

We were disappointed in the fire rings.They are more like a burn barrel. It would be wonderful to sit around the fire and actually see it burn!

Mostly quiet campground - we camp during the week, no holidays or weekends. Very clean and updated bathhouse. Clean grounds and friendly staff. Some of the best sites are hard to come by as they are always booked. They are fixing the road on the older section but there are still holes and washout places - you just have to go slow. It's close to home for us (40-45 min away), but our favorite for now. Make sure you have a long electric cord for the odd site that would require more than 25'. Sites 6 and 7 are nice but in order to get out you either have to back up the road to the corner or turn around in the parking lot for the tent camping section (which might be a problem if there are a lot of tent campers when you are leaving). There might be other options if you are experienced in maneuvering a travel trailer (as we do). But 5th wheels, Class C, etc. may be different and not have a problem with the turning radius.

Clean and beautiful campsite. Excellent employees ar campsite. Bathrooms cleaner and better then many hotels I stayed it. Great experience!

Park was quiet but no office or store. We reserved 19 and 20 and both sites were by dump station. Smell was horrible. Bathroom/showere were clean but you have to press a button every 5 seconds to keep water flowing. Water was luke warm.

Host were very nice, bathrooms were the cleanest I've ever seen for a campground, was able to have wifi access. Nice quiet location. Would have liked more areas for hiking unless we didn't find them. Overall it was a great experience. Would love to book a summer stay to take advantage of lake.

We were woke up twice at 2:30 AM by the dumpster truck. 2:30 AM !!!!!!!! When I asked the campground host if that was the normal he replied “yes”. I then asked why at 2:30 AM, he tersely responded that he paid the company but really did not care when he came. The noise was deafening and other campers also complained. I’ve been camping for over 60 years and never experienced a dumpster being dumped at 2:30 AM. This is ridiculous and rude. Not sure why this guy is still campground host. We will not return to Morganton Point unless there is a guarantee that the timing of the dumpster service is changed a non-quiet time.

The facilities were very clean. Our camp site was excellent. Proximity of the beach is such a plus.

The whole campground is very clean and well kept. Our campsite was great! The bathhouse was very clean and well stocked. The manager and hosts were friendly and very helpful. We have nothing but good things to say about this campground and will be returning as often as possible.
