Facilities in need of an upgrade and also the ability to handle the amount of camp spots and potential people that could be there.

This is a lovely campground close to Austin. We enjoyed staying right on the lake. We appreciated the nice covered picnic areas each site has. The whole campground was quiet and clean. Big rig friendly!

Love the spacious sites. Perfect for large crowd gatherings. Picnic table shelters are generous and very nice. Perfect to hang lights. Dried grasses, to be expected, but thankfully no stickers. Jim Hogg is always our favorite go-to.

Very clean campground, I like how sites are spaced out. You dont fell on top of each other. Great view of the lake,

Awesome park with good amenities. The campsites have just enough space to really enjoy the experience.

Nice big sites and beautiful view of the water. Its hard to get down to the water but it is a nice clear lake. If I were to suggest anything it would be a little safer trail down to the water from the campsites. We really enjoyed our family campout and would definately go back.

Lovely park. Lots of trees therefore shade.Bathrooms were clean. Showers were iffy, some worked great others usable, but had to push button more often.

Its very hard to pick a spot when you can only do it online. Ver got to our spot and there was absolutely no shade and even under the roof by the table the sun was just blazing in and it was hot!! We didnt realize also that we had mistakenly reserved a double spot and paid double. After a phone call we were informed those spots didnt qualify for the Senior park card that we have so we had a location that was not what wed hoped for and had paid double. We left after one night! Not sure well ever go back.

Myself and my boyfriend have been twice and have enjoyed it. Easy booking and easy access with codes that are sent ahead of visit. This last visit was great except for the campers across from us. Quiet hours are 10 to 6. But it was a large group of campers that were up and partying then arguing till 3 in the morning. Had a bright light hanging for their group that was shining straight into our tent/shelter.. Im sure they were disturbing other campers also, due to the sites being pretty full.

We love Jim Hogg and usually come at least once a year. The lake access was great. Do not leave any food out or the ants will come.

Lots of space between campsites that were clean and taken good care of. There were no loud campers and everyone was well behaved. The staff was very helpful and polite.

Jim Hogg park needs some work. Lots of trash around our campsite when we arrived. Some wash out on the sides of the parking pad. Overall, a very secure and good park.

Was first time staying at Jim hogg park campground, was very disappointed, was there 4 nights and never seen anyone in charge, no one was ever in the gate, locals took advantage of the lack of enforcement of the rules and didn't follow most of them, there was a burn ban in effect and was ignored by several campers, campground was not terrible but could use some work, bathrooms really needed an update as some of the facilities was not working properly, was looking for a place to stay when I come to the area to visit family, guess I will have to try someplace different next trip.

Nice, quiet park located in the middle of Georgetown. The park was clean and the sites are spacious. I will visit again.

This has been our local campsite for 3 years now. Overall, our experience was good.

Grass was waist deep. Light bulbs out in the bathrooms, and tree limbs are too low for a 5th wheel to go under. Camp host was very nice and helpful.

this was by far the worst experience Ive had in over 60 years of camping. Arrived at the campsite to find litter everywhere. We were unable or felt unsafe, having a campfire as the ring was set right next to an un mowed field. Other than the first five minutes, we were unable to find a camp host even during posted hours. The first night a campsite left their music and blinking lights on all night. on Friday night, the campsite next to us, containing two adults and two minors were drinking and playing their music loud into the night. Looked on website to find a phone number for Assistance, none listed. Went to the entrance shack during normal listed hours, no one available to file complaint. We did not speak to the neighbors about their loud music during the day, however, at 11 oclock on Saturday night we did ask them to lower the music. at midnight, when they raised the music louder, we called in Georgetown police. not only did they have two minors that were obviously intoxicated, they left all three dogs off leash during their stay. they also failed to put any garbage in receptacles until the police instructed them to do so.

Unfortunately, our last several stays at this park have not been up to par. The lots are not mowed. You must contend with high weeds or revert to mowing the weeds yourself. We did this. All of the lots needed to be mowed. The park attendant is never in the shed to check you into the site but VERY quick to run you down when you are busy setting up to ask for your Vet Card. This is very inconvenient. The park used to be pleasant but has really gone downhill.

The park managers were exceptional in providing a well maintained and safe environment for my party. I would visit again without reservation!!

Weve been coming here for at least 7 years multiple times a year. We have always had an amazing time. This time- the grass was high- unkempt, the wasp nests were in full force, rude obnoxious guests blaring their disgusting music all night until 3 am and back up at 8am. We used to get visited my the host to check everyone was valid- noise low , not this time and no one said anything. It kept us awake all night! Horrible- I felt sorry for the people closer to that nonsense! Bathrooms were clean and stocked so that was good. Just seems like the upkeep went down and the people were allowed to do anything they wanted. I think its time to look for a new place. Very disappointed with the tall grass.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
