This was a last minute stop on my way to Medina Lake and I reserved it sight unseen. Great location, great site and would return again for a longer stay when in the area.

The park was very clean. The spots were big with plenty of room to gather and have our dog there. The view of the Lake was amazing. Very peaceful.

Quiet and peaceful. Loved the sunrise over the lake. Clean and smelled great. I appreciate that the park provided the hose for the cleanout station.

Just used the park to set up my Rv to sell. Would be nice to have a sandy beach in the park.

I stayed on Park Rd 2, away from the point, and found the area to be well shaded and quiet. I like the covered picnic areas, and the park grounds are well maintained. Bathrooms were decent for camp, and the showers had good pressure and were hot. The area is great for biking, walking, and boating. There is no swim beach contrary to some postings. You would have to travel less than 10-minutes around the lake and use Russell Park's day-use beach.

Really disappointed with the reservations where I tried to extend but they said one day was already reserved so I had toPack up and move out early and I did not get my money back? I actually went back to the space where Gomez family was supposed to to be but they never showed up so I moved out for NOTHING. What a waste what a terrible customer service person Mina? Was. Couldnt care less and was a rude person I hope to NEVER talk to her again. And the rangers said my electric trike was not allowed? They think its a golf cart but its actually a mobility electric tricycle As we ride our electric bikes with never an issue but these troopers said I need to register it properly if it can be done at all? REALLY Im a disabled Vietnam vet and I use this to get around and I get confronted to get it permitted but may not be able to because of class eng size etc. SINCE WHEN does a disabled veteran not able to use a mobility trike? So yes it was a terrible experience and sad I had to go through that and in the end pay for a full night I never used - VERY DISSAPOINTED

Very cleab oark, the came by several timesper say so she was doing a great job of makeing sure the park was safe and being used properly. Water level is up from my previous visits. Most sites are level some need work to level by it can be done.

I loved my long weekend at Jim Hogg. The electric and water worked beautifully and the campsite was clean when I pulled in.

The RV spots are beautiful. Some of the picnic shelters need new roofs. The bathrooms badly need a complete overhaul. They stink and are very rundown. You could do so much better! I wish you had RV spots at Russell Park. Our kids wanted to swim, so every day we had to pack up food and gear and drive over to the other side of the lake to swim.

This was a great park to take the kids to, we were only there for the weekend but they had a lot of fun exploring the park and riding around on their bikes. This loop has a lot more kids around and they liked making new friends. The park is pretty clean, the sites are nice and big. We stayed on site 47, it was a very short walk to the bathrooms and the view we really enjoyed the view of the lake from our site. We definitely plan on going back.

Fairly quiet and peaceful park. Very large so normally spaces available. Toilet blocks can be quite far away if you don't pick the right spot.

Very spacious sites, the fire pit had some trash and cigarette buds but we didn't use it. The bathrooms were close by, they could've used some cleaning, when you walked in they smelled kind of bad. The park was nice though so much so that we reserved the following weekend at a different site.

We were in 144. The bbq was caked in 3 inches of old charcoal and gunk. We tried to clean out but the bottom was so corroded it fell out. We told the gate attendant, he said someone would come by but no one did. Other than that we enjoy staying there

Park employees are super nice and helpful. The park and restrooms/showers are kept very clean. We really enjoyed our stay.

This was our first time to stay overnight in the camp but second time to visit. I love how close it is to our home, especially if you forget something! We are tent campers not RV's, so it is nice that there is some shade to put your tent. The lots are a good size and love the picnic area. We will definetly be back, hopefully sooner than later.

A bit busy over Memorial Day weekend, no surprise. But I always like it here. A variety of spots, from right on the lake to secluded back in the forest. Good facilities, friendly staff. Always a good stay.
@MichaelE481757 · Camped on May 20, 2025 at Campsite #47
Ramp to Fishing pier is unsafe and not accessible for dogs. Dogs slide down metal ramp and people struggle going down on it. Grass was talk with weeds near campsite. Not a lot of shade on sites.
@DanielL393B5A2 · Camped on May 11, 2025 at Campsite #28
Care must be taken as some of the RV sites are poorly maintained, and the edges of the site have steep drop offs. This circumstance caused my wife to fall and significantly injured her shoulder.
@DeborahM969915 · Camped on May 2, 2025 at Campsite #34
Very clean and well maintained park. Trash bins very accessible and at a decent height for disposing of trash. The gated key code entrance provides additional protection and privacy.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
