I like this park, close to Georgetown amenities. The park had lots of tree cover and nice views across the lake. The Shower/Toilet block facilities were clean and reasonably close to most sites. RV dump station conveniently located and easy to use.

This is one of our favorite parks! The access to the cool, clean water of Lake Georgetown makes this campground a Must-Do. Facilities are always well kept and clean. Staff is responsive, polite, and welcoming.

Love all the trees and trails. Hope to bring my kayak next time to play in the water. Lake was busy. We came for a square dance in Georgetown and was close to location and great restaurants. Get a reservation early for those on a weekend!

Close to shopping and services. Georgetown is a neat little town. The park itself is pretty and private.

Site 23 is great. But lots of other very nice campsites. Views of water, sites nestled in woods, many choices.

I love Cedar Breaks Park on Lake Georgetown. It's close enough to conveniences (and cell signals) and still feels far away from the hustle and bustle. The camp hosts are all super friendly and helpful. The campground is located on mostly cliffs, but there is a path down to the water next to site 17. Expect foot traffic if you book that site. Sites 35 (tons of shade at this one) and 36 are quite steep and a fifth wheel might have trouble unhooking. Other than those, I don't think there is a bad site in the park. There are lots of deer and great hiking.My dogs and I spend a week here at least 3 times a year. There is a GREAT dog park in Georgetown about 10 minutes away called Bark Park. My dogs have made many friends there over the years so they love coming to Cedar Breaks.

Unfortunately, the young gentleman claiming to be the host bring this review from positive territory to negative territory. Beautiful scenery. Peaceful. Bathrooms could have used a cleaning. Replacing that host would be a win/win for all.

Absolutely beautiful park with beautiful views of the lake. We had a lake view spot that could not have been better for what we wanted. The campsite was clean and well maintained, but keep in mind there was a significant slope to the lake and the fire ring was a bit down from the covered picnic table, but that was not a problem for us at all. Water and electric, and a VERY nice covered picnic table, and a nice sturdy charcoal grill all very accessible. I absolutely would camp here again. There is also an HEB very close by, but you do not feel like you are right there in the city.

Love that this campground is close to the city, but far enough out that you feel like you are away from the city congestion. Most of the parking pads need to be worked on since water has eroded away the edges. When putting down the trailer steps, some of the sites have big drop off. Also, bring a pole saw if you have a taller Trailer. Many of the sites need to have tree branches trimmed away depending on the site and your particular setup. Road leading into the campground is a little rough and causes the travel trailer to bounce a lot. We have learned to take it slow on Cedar Breaks road. Park is quite, the folks working the front gate are polite and a delight to talk with. This is one of favorite go to parks since it is close to home and work.

I hiked the 27-mile Goodwater Trail starting at 5:00 AM and finishing at 6:15 PM. Great trail but it could use a few more blazes on the northwest side of the dam where many trails intersect.

The site 19 has an awesome view of the lake. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. We will be going back to Cedar Breaks in the future.

I love camping at Cedar Breaks Park. It's clean and quiet and I feel like I'm so far from home when I am really only 15 minutes away.

Great park! Fascilities are nice. Camp sites are well paved. Lots of tree coverage for shade. Only complaint is that the spots are kind of steep/unlevel so bring blocks for your campers. But otherwise it was a great experience and we will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay. The park is very scenic, and the sites are spacious, many with good shade. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the camp host was essentially absent. The reservation info is very specific about a limit of two tents per site. On the Friday of our stay (April 11th), a large group showed up. They had rented an appropriate number of sites, but they put all of their tents, eight in total, on one site, directly across from us. It looked like a homeless encampment. They stayed that way until Sunday morning. There was no enforcement from the camp hosts, very disappointing. Other than that, we would recommend this park. It's beautiful, quiet (most of the time) and pleasant.

I like having a view of the lake, and the covered picnic tables.

The overall experience was great! The site had plenty of shade and the bathrooms were pretty nice. I loved walking around the park and seeing all of the wildlife. My brother even found some fossils right at the campsite! The site also had a great view of the lake which was nice. Overall I feel that it was such a fun trip and I would go back in a heartbeat.

Cedar Breaks Park was a fun campout for our Boy Scout Troop. Many of the campsites are right along the lake with beautiful views. We did a 5 Mile round trip hike to Crockett Garden Falls, which everyone loved. Our campsite had electricity and water and a covered picnic table area - everything was great! We will definitely return to this park for camping.

Good park, dont arrive late- they dont even send you a gate code - better not arrive after the office closes, a visit to the camp host will be required if you do. Also bring your own soap if using the facilities- none at sink. Gross.

large sites, very quiet.

Extremely noisy. First night teenage girls and their moms up all night ,very loud . Second night about 8 cars pull up and proceeded to have a childrens birthday party with approx 20 kids high on birthday cake screaming until approx 10 pm, up early noisy. Glad they were having fun but wish they picked appropriate place to do it . Where was camp host?

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
