Choose your site carefully as some are not very level, front to back. And some have very steep drop offs where pavement ends, making your steps high above the ground.Other areas of the park are wonderful. Restrooms are always clean and trails are very good. Staff has always been friendly and helpful.

Don't tell anybody, but spot 054 is the best spot in the park. The trees are amazing and it's the most private area. The bathrooms are kinda far (and kinda clean, not bad for a park like this), but we brought a camping bucket/toilet setup. Plenty of fallen branches and small dead trees on the ground to use for firewood if you have a little ax. This is our new favorite spot!

Nice shady spot. Requires some leveling ( 2 interlocking locks on drivers side, tongue jack fully extended) Easy back in and not too close to neighbor site.

Extremely noisy. First night teenage girls and their moms up all night ,very loud . Second night about 8 cars pull up and proceeded to have a childrens birthday party with approx 20 kids high on birthday cake screaming until approx 10 pm, up early noisy. Glad they were having fun but wish they picked appropriate place to do it . Where was camp host?

Awesome place to stay! Highly recommend it, we took our 33ft trailer and plenty of shade and lake was great.

This is a very nice park, lots of tree's. The only down side is many of the spots have big slopes to back into up and down.

This was our third stay at Cedar Breaks. We have always had an excellent experience for the most part. Its quiet; hosts and staff are generally very helpful; grounds are meticulously kept; lots of shade trees at the sites and *usually* the restrooms and showers are clean and well maintained. This visit was a bit different regarding the restrooms. They were not cleaned the entire four days we were there. We showered in our camper as it was unbearably hot in the restrooms- no fans, ventilation, etc. Granted-this is Texas and it was 100* plus all week, but fans would be a help in there and doesnt excuse the lack of cleanliness. That said- we will continue to camp there. Everything in life is not perfect and this was an anomaly for us.

Cedar Breaks is a wonderful park that is both beautiful and relaxing. We would have marked it 5 stars except that when we made an error on our departure date and worked to speedily pack up and head out, the park staff was extremely rude to us. Although it was very clear that we had made an innocent mistake (which we admitted to and were doing our best to quickly correct), they continually insinuated that we had purposely taken advantage and had somehow caused them personal harm. The interaction turned a very soothing camping trip into a very negative experience. I hope that in the future they find a better way to communicate with their patrons.

We stayed at 2 sites, 54 and 56. Both were nice, in the shade that backed to woods. Honestly All sites were large and convenient with cement pad for RV with water/electric hook ups with covered picnic tables on cement pads with grill and fire pit. Well maintained park. Would def. stay here again.

The campground was clean & quiet during our stay. Some sites are very unlevel so if you don't come prepared with leveling equipment, it could be a problem. Great cell reception here! I didn't visit the campground restrooms so I can not give a review there. Dump station is easy to use. Didn't see much wildlife here. We had courteous neighbors & will stay again.

Great park with lots of room for the RV and car. Spaces were great regarding campsites. Plenty of room to sit with family and friends. The shelters over the picnic tables were awesome. Great hiking area as well. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the fire rings were full of ashes when I got to my site and there was a smoldering log in it.

Great location for running - can run directly from the park to the Lake Georgetown Dam and San Gabriel River Trail. Quiet at night, easy reservations, controlled access. All good!

Overall we really enjoy camping here. The park grounds themselves are maintained quite well. We were never bothered by mosquitoes and the like, so a lot of effort must go into controlling the environment. It was quiet on both occasions that we stayed here - at the height of the summer season. While it is situated on the lake it seemed as though most of the water activities were on the opposite side. There are plenty of trails to explore so those activities can keep you busy for a few days. The sites each have water and 20/30/50 amp electricity available. The electricity was stable with proper grounds and polarity. I gave this 4/5 states for the following:(1) There appeared to be plenty of dumpsters but they are all located at the exit to the grounds. Other than some small trash cans at the entrance to the restrooms, there is nowhere convenient to get rid of daily trash. Not that big of a deal but none the less a drawback for us.(2) The major drawback for trailers and RVs is the lack of available sewer hookups. It appeared the only sites that had them were those available for long-term stays / volunteers. (3) The restrooms (at least the one we used) are in need of some upgrades and were not cleaned on either of our four day stays. Other parks we have stayed at this past year or so have been diligent about cleaning restrooms given COVID is still a thing. Not so much here. Again, overall we will continue to stay here a few times a year as it is close to home and availability of sites seem to be a constant. The drawbacks I mentioned wont stop us from enjoying a quick get away, but next time I will bring up the sanitation issue re.: restrooms if we have the same experience.
