Jim Hogg Park at Lake Georgetown is a very good and well kept campground. We had a fun time over the four days we were there at Thanksgiving. Only downer was the lake level was soooo low! but, not the park's fault.

We stayed in 108 and it rained the day before and the day of arrival. The whole camp site was a mud pit. It did not have much grassy area like the photos showed.
It got really busy with 4+ cars in several campsites and tons of people. In addition to heavily populated, several did not have their dogs on a leash and running open. It made it incredible difficult to walk our dog on a leash with others running up and at him.

We always love our time here. Nice spots, clean and sheltered patio. My only request would be to fix the street lights, really dark walk to bathrooms. I went on a long run during early morning and more of the lights were out than previously. Creepy.

I love Jim Hogg! Sites are bigger and workers are friendlier than Cedar Breaks (Im generalizing about the latter). Its close to too many things to mention. Although the ladies bathroom lights closest to 125 werent coming on at dusk, forgot to tell mgmt last week. Our first site 108 wasnt level enough for our new truck camper, but mgmt and I were both struggling to change our site to another in order to be refunded. I emailed recreation.gov and explained and I had my $44 refund within 3 days.

Very nice park with great access to water activities. State capital close. A lot of historical sites in area to see.
