This is a bougie campground.We had so much fun. We was in 94. The best site I think especially if you got kids its right above the swimming pool area. You are allowed to put your tent anywhere even off your site. It cost us $36 but we only stayed one night. Im going back again this weekend. If youre a late arrival or want to leave and no one is at check in, there is a number on back of parking pass to get in or in your email somewhere. I didnt find that but a nice lady told me to look on back of my parking pass to enter the code.

As always, this campground is exceptional in nearly every way. The grounds and buildings are well kept and the staff is friendly and helpful. I do wish the wifi was better since cell service is very intermittent. Highly recommend!

Defeated Creek COE campground was outstanding. Beautiful setting, scenery, quiet and peaceful. Campground was neat and clean. No cell or internet was exactly what we needed to disconnect from the outside world. We have put this campground on our must return list. We had site 90 which might be tough for larger rv's. We stayed in a 25 foot Class-C which handled the incline just fine.Overall great campground, great scenery and clean park.

There was a lot of confusion at check in the new rule to show your discount card at the gate was not clear and I was charged for the difference in cost until I could prove I used my discount card. I made the reservation several months ago and there was nothing that said this card must be presented at check in. I was not sent a card just a QR code on the initial reservation. This whole process was not handled well at all.

Great place to camp. Concern especially during tornado season as cell service and wi-fi not available for AT&T subscribers.

Zero cell phone service (I have Verizon), and the Wi-Fi was horrible. It was so weak and would not let you join. If I did get to join, it usually kicked me out after 10 minutes, Had a hard time finding a spot, and then I learned that around 5 spots have campers on them full-time because they work for the park. However, they were never in their camper. It was empty the entire time I stayed. That is very unfair because those people obviously do not work for the park.

Been Twice, always a good experience. Warning: if your GPS directs you to turn right on Main Street (hwy 263) at Carthage, do not take it. Continue straight on Carthage Bypass. 263 is a mountain 2 lane road with many blind cut backs.

Absolute gem of a campground for tent or camper camping. People are nice, friendly, and respectful.

From the time we met the camp host at the gate, we knew it was going to be a great visit. The sites were amazing, large, clean and in a setting that was unbelievable. The campground is set on the peninsula and everywhere you looked you could see the water. The cell service and WiFi though it was poor, we were there to rest and relax.

We were on Site 51 in our 5th Wheel. The site is almost perfectly level from left to right and did not require much lift in the front to make it level front to back. The view is nice across an open field and there really isn't anyone very close to you. There is nice shade in the morning and then it returns late afternoon. The site is large and easy to back into. It is perfectly positioned between two bath houses. We had decent wifi reception on computers, phones and even our tv. Cell phone reception for calls was sketchy but if you can activate wifi calling, you get good reception.This is a 30 amp site. I didn't realize that and so didn't have my "dog bone" with me. I couldn't find one to buy in a 30 mile radius. I was talking to Buck at the check-in hut and seeing if there was a spot we could move to. He offered to lend me a dog bone. They are so nice! It was a great experience overall. We have 3 more reservations at Defeated Creek this year. It's our favorite park!

Corp of Engineer sites are always spot-on: level site, water, electric, sewer hook-up is always perfect. Facilities are well designed and maintained. Most of them are on the water and overall a great bargain.

Campground was nice & clean. Absolutely no internet or cell service. Have to drive quite a ways out of the area in order to access Google Maps for directions to next destination.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
