Site 50 is very shady and close to potable water, bathrooms, and trash - but not too close to the bathrooms/trash. Beautiful campground. Jenks Lake is a 15min drive from the campground. It is low but still fun to pull some trout out of. I will definitely be back!

Barton Flats is a solid campground with a great vibe and quick hikes nearby. The campground is quite well-maintained and the showers and flushing toilets are a big plus. A big plus is that they allow fires and come around to sell wood.

Nice and quiet on a weekday. All campers were quiet and respectful. On-site personell were helpful and informative (and kind). Beutiful hiking trails nearby. The campgrounds were very clean, as were the toilets and showers. We had a great time.

Nice place to spend a holiday weekend. Would have been nicer if the people on the adjacent campsite were not always walking through our site. We asked them numerous times to go around, even our dogs asked them. But they didn't seem to care.

Wonderful campground and hosts. The campground was very well maintained and peaceful. We enjoyed hiking the Jenks Lake Trail from the campground and looping around the lake. We also enjoyed taking the Santa Ana River Trail from our campsite to watch the sunset in the evening after dinner. Big Bear Lake is a short drive away and was a nice place to visit and get some frozen yogurt on a hot summer day.

The rangers are very helpful and stops by often to see if we need anything we were in an ada spot and checking on us throughout the day is nice. It is very quiet and 10pm quiet hours is just that quiet. The bathrooms are always clean. Sites are always clean before the next person who comes. This is my 3rd time at Barton flats and will continue to go.

We usually stay at Heartbar but its closed this year. So we stayed at Barton Flats for the first time. Wish we stayed here sooner. Running water, flushing toilets and showers! Day and Night than vault toilets and no sink! Nice as Heartbar but better amenities. Host was nice and didnt bother us like most do or push buying fire wood. We will come back. Only grip is you can see and hear the main road and car lights. Other than that one of the best camp grounds we ever stayed at.

Well organized and clean campground. The camp hosts were great. They gave us tips for fishing spots, and delivered the firewood we purchased to our site. Nearby lake and stream for hiking and fishing. A great place to camp with children.

Campground Review Site #37 (Early June Stay)The drive to the campground was absolutely beautiful and surprisingly accessibleany vehicle can make the trip without the need for four-wheel drive, which was a relief. The campground itself is very well-maintained, and the campsites are clean and thoughtfully arranged. I stayed at site #37, which I found to be ideal in terms of layout and location.One of the standout features of this site was the generous spacing between campsites. We enjoyed a sense of privacy, with a large open field behind us and minimal road noise at night, creating a peaceful and quiet environment.The camp hosts were friendly, professional, and attentive to the sites upkeep and security. Bob, in particular, was welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.Cleanliness was top-notchI would rate it a 5/5. The restrooms were equipped with flush toilets and sinks, and new hot water heaters had just been installed for the showers. Our site was conveniently located near the restrooms and water access. It was level, offered a comfortable amount of shade, and was easy to set up camp on.In terms of pests, Id give it a 2/5 bug rating. There were a few mosquitoes, but they werent much of a bother. We did have a couple of aggressive scrub jays in the area, likely due to a nearby nest, which might not be a common issue for all campers.Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this campground to others looking for a clean, quiet, and well-managed place to enjoy the outdoors.

Its our 2nd time to stay at Barton Flats campground and the experience is still awesome. The camphost is very accommodating and friendly. Than campground is pretty quiet, restrooms are clean, has good phone service and most of the campsites are shaded. We stayed at campsite #7 which is a double site and so we had plenty of spaces in between tents. I highly recommend Barton Flats and well surely be back next year.

Its a very nice and clean campground. There are showers and flush toilets that are in working order. Jenks Lake is a short distance from the campground and there is a hiking trail that you can take from the campground to the lake. There are a couple of other trails to hike from the campground, as well. The campsites all have a fire ring and picnic table. You can gather your own wood for a campfire.

Barton Flats Campground: Clean, groomed campsites. Roughly a 20 minute hike to Jenks lake (check the fish planting schedule). A 35 minute drive to Big Bear. No RV hookups, but two onsite dump stations near the campground entrance are available for I think $10. Clean showers and clean flushing restrooms. Metal bear boxes are in the campsites. There's a good cafe in Angelus Oaks called 'The Oaks Restaurant' and general store a short drive down the hill.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
