This campground is one we keep returning to and will continue to return to. That being said, this last time the campground host was being very bossy and it definitely put a damper on our weekend. It didn’t ruin everything, but was just annoying when you see them rolling around with their golf carts dreading what they’ll tell you next. Anything they had to tell us like moving our cars or hammock (!), it was never said kindly but more in a bossy way. It’s definitely something dismissible when you’ve got a beautiful campground to enjoy, but I thought some people might want a heads up. We will definitely still return but hopefully next time the hosts will have less of an attitude and will be more kind.

The campsite was easy enough to find I did however find it odd that I had to seek out the camp host in order to get our parking pass. The male camp host was very helpful and kind, the woman however was quite rude and talk to us like we were children. All because we had built a small pyramid of pinecones that were around our campsite. She continued to berate us about it even after we apologized and assured her we had no intention of using it as firewood. We had two bundles of wood right next to it but she persisted so scold us and had us disperse the pinecones as she watched. I understand the hazards of fires in the mountains but she was talking to us as if we were throwing them into the fire all willy-nilly like when in actuality they were more than 5 feet from the unlit fire pit.

It is very unlikely I will be camping there again. Shame too.

Nice, clean, campground. The campground hosts were super nice and helpful. Good local hiking trails that are great for kids. Highly recommended for families!
