Huge mud pit in our siteNo running water slickers (second year in a row)Cold showersTried to modify to shorten out reservation (2 weeks out) and we were told we couldnt because it was a holiday weekend (even though we were there for 3 nights. We left a day early (forced to pay for the night). Later to find out that they sold our site to someone else. They double sold our site. So unacceptable.

The place is always very clean and the campground host are the nicest people we have ever met in our 50+ years of camping.

Nice clean campground. Host was friendly and did a great job enforcing quiet time. This was our third time camping here and it was good every time. Conveniently close to Jenks lake.

Great campsite hosts. Very friendly. The site is very quiet during the week but there is very little separating you from the next site over. A large family came in the night before I left and I could hear everything. Not that they tried to be quiet mind you. There's a trail to Jenk's lake at the entrance to the site which is a great hike for the family. Overall for the distance to LA it's a great place to go.

Love the campground and the facilities are well maintained. The only negative is that it is overrun with ground squirrels.

What a positive change to the park staff. Everyone we met was kind, courteous, and very helpful. The park itself is absolutely beautiful. Facilities were always clean and ready for use.

Area is beautiful but Campground needs updatesTrash containers, all have heavy metal lids Extremely hard to openBathroom faucet broken, can't wash handsFemale Campground Host is pushy. She walked into my site , an hour before due to check out and closed the bear locker doors. Stating she likes them closed !? Also handling my stuff on top of the locker that fell when she closed the doors. When I asked her to please not touch my items, with Covid and all, she said "I have gloves on ! ". Guess no one has ever told her the gloves protect her but she is passing germs on from site to site !

The campsite is beautiful, the hosts are super nice. Parking for extra vehicles is $8/night and wood is $8/bundle cash only. There is a store a few miles up the road. Even in the hottest time of the year its in the 40s to 50s at night and high 80s in the day. Pack for both really cold and really warm. Bears are around so make sure to keep all your food in the bear box. We fit one normal size cooler plus a smaller cooler inside. Coyotes howl at night so bring earplugs if that will bother you. I will be back next year!

This camp site is amazing. The location is perfect, close enough to Big Bear Lake if you want a day at the shops or downtown, excellent location for easy access to Jenks Lake for some great fishing (get the live meal worms if you want bate that works) and some really nice hiking trails that lead straight out of the camp site itself. Bring Cash if you'll need firewood from the site host/hostess. Highly recommend!
