We just spent 3 glorious nights at Barton Flats CG. We really liked our site - paved and level with nice views of snow-capped San Gorgonio. The CG was quiet (mid-week) and I think may have just opened for the season. We took the hike up to Jenks Lake, a nice 3.5 mile RT trek. The camp host was very friendly and the restrooms were clean. The cost was very reasonable with our lifetime senior pass. We live locally in Orange County so we will be back. We camped in a 22-foot Flagstaff travel trailer

I had a very nice stay at Barton Flats. Nice tall pine trees everywhere, not a lot of other campers mid-week. Their bathrooms are great; flushable toilets etc.. the site hosts were kind and brought a good vibe, particularly Erin, who was a total pleasure. She helped me out with various recommendations and was a pleasant person to talk with. Felt like Ive known her for 20 years. If I ever go back to Barton Flats Im gonna find Erin and say hello for sure. Thats coming from someone who usually doesnt interact with site hosts, and while Im at it, I rarely write reviews or fill out surveys for anything (its basically a scourge on society in my opinion), but here I am. I recommend using the bear-proof boxes if you stay, Im pretty sure there were bears that came through the site around 1AM looking for tasty treats. You can fit a full-size cooler in them with room to spare.

The weather was perfect! The camp hosts were fabulous and we escaped the fireworks so our pups had a delightful, non-panicked, 4th of July! We really enjoyed the forestry and fire fighters visit too! Barton Flats for the win!!!!
