Barton Flats Campground: Clean, groomed campsites. Roughly a 20 minute hike to Jenks lake (check the fish planting schedule). A 35 minute drive to Big Bear. No RV hookups, but two onsite dump stations near the campground entrance are available for I think $10. Clean showers and clean flushing restrooms. Metal bear boxes are in the campsites. There's a good cafe in Angelus Oaks called 'The Oaks Restaurant' and general store a short drive down the hill.

Beautiful place but the female camp host made us feel very uncomfortable. As soon as we arrived (3pm) she insisted that we had to turn our music down. Which was playing at a reasonable level and was soothing music. The music could only be heard at our camp ground because we checked the volume before she drove by. We are regular campers and are considerate of others. We going camping to be surrounded with peace. We have never been confronted for music because we always play it at a reasonable level. But she asked me to turn it down and I did. Then she suggested that we should wear earphones and to whisper at night. This completely threw me off, I couldnt help but giggle. Ive never heard of such rules. I explained to her that I checked the campsite rules and regulations online, so I was well aware of the rules and I would not do anything to disturb the peace because I was there to enjoy the quietness too. But She went on mentioning sheriffs. I scratched my head at that one. I told her the sheriffs are welcome at campsite anytime because I was confident that I was not breaking any rules. Mind you, I was with my husband and my son, this was a family trip - we were not there to party. This host was out of line and over reacted but I made sure to keep the music down to show respect. Not even one our later other people show to a campsite near by blasting music and not soothing music but music with base. Me and husband looked ar each other like, what???She did not go to there campsite and the music went on for a while. Then both nights we did not get sleep because it sounded like there was a rave or something going on until sunrise. Me and my husband wanted to asked her, what happened to the NO music rule and earphones should be used? We did not understand why that rule only applied to us. It was a horrible experience especially because we paid $218 for 3 nights. We only stood for 2 because we couldnt take the loud music anymore. Very weird experience-

Host at camp ground where amazing and very friendly. We loved our camping location out of all the others. Can't wait to go back again. Definitely recommend you will not regret it. Only camp that has showers even they were closed due to covid-19.

This was a great camping experience. Single mom with two young girls. Felt safe! The campground and restrooms were clean, With the exception of Sunday evening during shift change (they did run out of TP temporarily and the trash can overflowed a tad) but all in all, thrilled with the hosts, etc. They checked on us, delivered firewood, etc. creek for swimming and fishing nearby (less than 10 minutes) wonderful experience

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
