Whiterock Mountain Campground is clean and well maintained, friendly staff. The views of the surrounding Boston mountains are spectacular! The campsites are spaced well apart to afford some privacy. Love the old CCW campgrounds around AR, they're the best. The OHT has a trailhead right on the grounds and there are many others within 1hr driving distance. Fort Lake Smith and Shores Lake are nearby. I went to both and they are wonderful attractions as well. Be aware, there's about 10 miles of gravel road coming into the campground. And they are AR mountains roads, slow going, last stretch is steep.

We stayed in Cabin B. I love the way the kitchen bath and bedroom are on one level and the spacious living room/dining room about 5 stairs down to the lower level. The cabin looks better in real life than in the pictures or video. The couches were comfortable and fireplace worked well. It was well equipped and clean. They even provided a tool for grilling hot dogs marshmallows in the fireplace or outdoor fire bowl. The view is spectacular and soothing. Though you can see the back porch of Cabin A from the back door off the kitchen, the chairs on cabin Bs back porch are cleverly situated behind the wall formed by the stairs and offer privacy while you enjoy the great outdoors. There were plenty of fans and space heaters for use during cold or warm weather. Amazing number of birds including raptors at eye level. The only complaint I had was the mattress protectors provided by the park were heavily scented by washing or drying products. It was overpowering for me. Since they require guests to bring their own bed linens, I wish they would have asked guests to include their own mattress protectors to lessen the chance of the over-perfumed bedroom. There is also a scent device on the fireplace mantle that sprays room deodorizer sprays on a timed basis but you can open it up and turn it off.

Great place to camp. A bit remote but well worth it. The views are incredible. The gentleman running the campground and store was awesome.

My wife and I love Whiterock. One of the most peaceful campgrounds around. Amber and Ross do such a great job of making our visits there so enjoyable.

The camp host is what makes this place so special. One reason i keep coming back is the camp host always so friendly and treats everyone up there like family. I heard their contract is up in June and someone new might be hosting. This makes me sad because the host is what makes the experience so special. I hope you consider keeping the current hosts.

This is our second time at White Rock, we love it! Even at full capacity this campground feels like you almost have it to yourself. You have to do the rim trail, and we also love the Rattlesnake Falls trail! We've done both trails both times we've and visited highly recommend. The host and caretakers are topnotch.

The campground owner, Amber, was so helpful when we were trying to decide where to hike. The surrounding trails had a variety of difficulty levels, from the longer 13 mile loop to the short rim trail up at the top, but they were all beautiful! The campground was scenic and peaceful and exactly what we were hoping for. I recommend a longer stay as there is so much to see and do in the area, we were there about 4 days and wished we had planned a longer trip. We had a blast and hope to go back!!

Fabulous Site and Campground! The road up is a bit treacherous if you are not used to mt or gravel road driving, but doable for almost all vehicles if you take it slow. Also the staff was so helpful and nice.

The Cabin was clean and very well taken care of. I enjoyed that it is fully stocked with kitchen items other than food. We went with friends who go regularly and can't wait to go again. Ross at the store is extremely helpful! Thank you for a wonderful visit!

We really enjoyed our time here. This is the second time we have come up and stayed at a cabin in the winter. There were plenty of space heaters and the wood burning stove kept the cabin very warm. The beds were comfy. We hiked down to the overlook for sunset and that was magical. The only thing I will say is that the bunk beds are larger than a twin in cabin a so the sheets we brought did not fit. Luckily we brought a sleeping bag anyway so it wasnt super necessary to have them. Just a heads up for those in the future.

We didnt come with many preconceived expectations other than time away in a quiet location. Our expectations were met, but the experience far exceeded that. The managers were off the charts friendly and helpful. A fire was lit in the cabin fireplace and heaters were on. Other guests were a pleasure to meet and interact with. I have already put a reminder in my calendar to reserve a cabin again next year.

This place is as beautiful as any mountain top ever. The plus is the hot and all her goodies and hospitality at the general store. Worth the long drive up the mountain.

Weve been coming for 45 years and the place has never been better! Amber and her team are amazing. Everything was spotless and appointed as described. The sunsets never disappoint! We love how theyve expanded the store. They were very friendly and welcoming. Its not the easiest place to get to - but totally worth it. We had adequate cell service and WiFi worked well. The Solo Stoves were new since our last visit and we really enjoyed stargazing around the fire. The delivery of firewood was a treat! And very reasonably priced, burned well. Cant wait to go back.

Everything was just as I remembered when I came to White Rock Mountain as a young girl with my family. We enjoyed walking the Rim Trail, and staying in the cabin. Those at the general store were friendly and helpful.

Much Improvement since I last camped there while backpacking the OHT almost 20 years ago. Restroom clean. Well kept roads and tent sites. Trail is maintained. Hosts were friendly. Nice little store. The warning signs are not joking. The rim trail is right at the edge.

If I could rate it 10 stars I would. It was a long beautiful dirt road up white rock mountain, the campground was immaculate, although we didnt use the facilities they looked great! the tent camping was absolutely amazing as well, large spots for even the biggest tents. We arrived well after sunset and woke up to Mountainside views through the trees. The 2 mile hike loop was a perfect way to start the morning. I highly recommend this campground.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
