Fabulous Site and Campground! The road up is a bit treacherous if you are not used to mt or gravel road driving, but doable for almost all vehicles if you take it slow. Also the staff was so helpful and nice.

This location is spectacularly beautiful. The road to the site is rough and steep (15 miles of dirt, rock, and gravel) not to mention narrow, but check-in went very smoothly. The lady at the general store (where check-in happens) was VERY nice and engaging. Other campers were very nice as well. Highly recommend this place.

Very nice location, high in the Ozark mountains. The recreation area is essentially the very top of White Rock Mountain, with cliffs dropping off all around you. Pretty cool! There is a nice, easy two mile loop going all the way around the recreation area as well as picnic, day use and viewing spots at one end of the site. The campsites are tucked away and at least during my stay were nice and quiet. There is a general store a short walk away which has a some basic items available, like bug spray, charcoal, ice, and ice cream. Pretty handy. The campground host we dealt with (Amber) was born to do this job. She's the most genuine and informative host I've ever dealt with I think. From what I understand the area gets crazy crowded during the fall color season but that's to be expected. I'll bet the views are unbelievable. I'm planning on going back.

The campsite and facilities are super nice! The staff are so friendly and helpful! The only issue was that it was extremely windy and our tent broke. Other than that, we had a great time.

Wow! What a great experience for a first primitive tent camping experience. All the staff were very helpful and friendly plus kept the grounds immaculate! Such a peaceful and beautiful place to camp and explore. Hope to visit again!

Really awesome place to visit, great views staff are very helpful and kind. Only thing to worry about is a place to shower, other than that everything you need is on site. Also it would be a great idea to go in an suv or a truck, I went in my car because my suv broke down before the trip. We still got up the mountain but it was not very enjoyable with the car I drove with.

The folks running the camp are super great. The nights were cold, but we were able to buy firewood at the general store. Campsites and bathrooms were clean. Primitive sites were well spaced so that you weren't right on top of the site next to you. Good views in the winter while the leaves are off the trees.

The campsite was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rim hike had great views and a good overall length, but was difficult to navigate safely in some parts for younger children. I must have missed it somewhere on the site information, but it was a surprise that the roads to the recreation area were all unpaved.

Gorgeous area and a quiet campsite with enough distance from other campers to get that secluded feelings. It's a little bit of a pain to get here (if you're driving a meh little Nissan like me) on a few miles of dirt roads, but that probably helps keep its mood quiet and low-key. Loved it.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Camp sites are clean and well-maintained. We stayed in site 7, which is very close to the ridge where there is a great view of the surrounding hills and sunset. There is currently no shower house, but after talking to the staff, its seems that there are plans to finish building one relatively soon. All in all, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend staying here.
