My wife and I love Whiterock. One of the most peaceful campgrounds around. Amber and Ross do such a great job of making our visits there so enjoyable.

The camp host is what makes this place so special. One reason i keep coming back is the camp host always so friendly and treats everyone up there like family. I heard their contract is up in June and someone new might be hosting. This makes me sad because the host is what makes the experience so special. I hope you consider keeping the current hosts.

Gorgeous views, a nice hiking trail, and the staff is so friendly and helpful. My wife and I camp there often. it is kept pretty quiet so you can experience nature.

Great space for tent camping. Plenty of space away from other campers. Spring water faucet. Restroom. Store with supplies and support. Overlook with spectacular sunset view.

Fantastic campground with wonderful trails and overlooks surrounding the property. Plan for a bit of wind with it being up high, but bring a camera and plan for time to soak in the views.

The campsite is very clean and peaceful. It feels very exclusive for a really good price. The facilities were in good condition and minimal which I liked. The only struggle we had was finding the hiking trails and the campsite itself with the roads being closed. The hiking trails are overgrown and the signs were not clear. We unfortunately couldn’t do the whole White Rock Loop and would have loved to.

Amazing campsite hosts, incredible views & hikes, well kept grounds with a toilet & water - what more can you ask for? Loved the drive up, was comfortable in my old Honda sedan, just take it slow! We will be back for the fall!

Had a medium sized group at site 9 with plenty of space for; 3 tents 2 (could fit 3) cars & 3 hammocks easily, with 2 durable stone tables & plenty of extra room. About 30-50 yards downhill into the forest following a small footpath will take you to a portion of the rim trail and has a incredible view if you hike down a little. The staff upkeeping the grounds were extremely extremely friendly and overall I and my group couldnt recommend white rock any more, the grounds are very well kept and the views cant be beat. Will certainly be returning!

We reserved the group site at White Rock Mountain. Overall had a great experience. The site was clean, the hostess was very kind and delivered firewood after we purchased it which was very convenient and appreciated. The general store had anything you would realistically need and all the amenities of the campsite were well maintained. The view from our sight was breathtaking and the trail that is accessible from camp is a great hike with plenty of cool lookouts. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking to camp in northern Arkansas.

We all had a great time and probably picked one of the prettiest weekends to go. It snowed and the trails were empty: First tracks! That said, it was also bitter cold for our night of tent camping. We made it through though and our hike back down to Shores Lake was great.

Our family of 5 absolutely LOVED our trip to White Rock Mountain! We were in camping spot #9 which had a beautiful view and the hosts (Jamie and Mary) were so helpful and kind! The views from the observation point were breathtaking and just driving up or down the mountain was an experience on its own. Our kids asked if we can come back every year!

I'm at a bit of a loss on how to review this campground so bear with me. This was my second year in a row coming here with friends. Overall we had a fantastic time. The hosts are incredibly nice and willing to work with you on any concerns. The views are spectacular, it was safe during Covid because there aren't many campgrounds, and it is in the middle of nowhere which I love. We drove down to the mulberry river to swim and fish and we had an incredible day. HOWEVER, it is important to note, the group campsite has a copperhead infestation. We threw rocks to scare off at least 10 copperheads. One of my friends ended up stepping on one in the dark and got bitten. We rushed him to the closest hospital (1 hour away) and he is now fine. I think there must be a nest near the group campsite because we didn't see snakes anywhere else in the campground. I think if they bring in an exterminator or something to clear out the area around the group site that would be great if it's possible. Don't let this review scare you from coming though, there are no snakes near any of the other sites. You can tell this campground is amazing because one of my friends got bit by a copperhead and I'm still giving it 5 stars and I'd still be willing to return next year and he probably would too. I don't want to scare people away from this campground but I felt I needed to mention it because in all my research of this area I've never seen them mentioned at all. In other things, this campground has the cleanest vault toilets I've ever seen. In addition the spigots put out water that tastes better than the stuff that comes out of my fridge at home. I took a poll after the trip and all my friends said they had fun and would come back again. I had a great time both times I've come here and couldn't recommend it more. Make White Rock Mountain your next adventure, and you won't be disappointed.

We stayed in lot 9 and loved it. Over all it was a great experience. It is beautiful up on white rock and the lot was well maintained. We loved the little general store for souvenirs. I recommended signage for lot 9 to the host because it was advertised as a private loop but we had several people driving up and around our lot, but it wasn’t horrible. The only complaint was all of the raccoons, they would not leave us alone, even after chasing them off. To finish this off, I would recommend this place to anyone!

The campground and location atop the mountain are spectacular, but primitive. Unfortunately for me it rained all day One day so there wasn’t much to do. The other day was a great day for hiking one of the many trails near the campground with great views of the Ozark mountains. Only one negative about the campsite I was at was that the ground turned very muddy because of the rain. Some gravel on the site would be nice.

Beautiful campground run by very nice people. The entire campground was very clean and had ample space between sites. Really enjoyed the surrounding trails and will be sure to go back. Highly recommend.

White Rock Mountain is at the tip top of a mountaintop that juts up out of the rolling hills, so you get a spectacular 360 degree view. To reach this remote little hideaway, you have to drive up a dirt/gravel road for what seemed like 30 minutes with the last part being very steep. We managed to do it in a van pulling a trailer without too much trouble as the gravel road was very well maintained. Even though you're very far from modern civilization, we felt very safe as the park hosts and the manager were very attentive and took really good care of the place. They made us feel very welcome and give the whole place a real homey feel. Highlights include the historic stone cabins that you can rent (2-night minimum). Each one has its own stone porch that looks out over the entire mountain range below. We stayed in the campground. The 9 campsites are spread out so you're not right up against the next group of campers, which makes it relaxing and provides more privacy than most campgrounds. The campground has only two water spigots, so you walk to one of those and fill up your water container. Each site has a picnic table and level tent pad. The campground restroom and the one in the day use area are vaulted toilets and kept very clean. This area is right on the Ozark Highlands Trail. The OHT section we hiked was not very well maintained as it's apparently run by volunteers who have a hard time keeping up with the vegetation. However, the "Rim Trail" hike that's right by the campground and circumnavigates the top of the mountain is very well maintained and a "must-do". You can do that level 1-hour hike even if you don't camp or stay overnight in a cabin by parking in the day use area ($3 per car) near the main look out point. That experience alone would be worth a drive up the mountain. We stayed three nights and ended up hiking to two waterfalls within a short drive of the campground.
