We stay at Aux Arc quite a bit and it is always pretty peaceful except for the trains but you get used to them. Most campers are very considerate and friendly as well as the camp hosts and janitorial staff. Normally we camp with a group of 2-4 couples every time we camp here. Lots of laughs and eating when we get together. I highly recommend staying here.

It would have been 5 stars, but the shower in the bath house nearest the entrance only had very hot water. I could not ever get it moderated enough to stand under.

The sites didnt seem to have been cleaned recently. Fire ring filled with ashes and trash. The sites were well laid out otherwise.

Great campground on Arkansas River. Near Dam. Could hear the roar of water rushing thru it but actually lulled me to sleep. Occasional train rolled thru as well as barges going thru lock. Clean park with lots of great sites. Cute little town of Ozark very close. Also went to wineries in near by Altus. Definitely will be back

We were in the end of a cross country trip and had an unplanned stop at ozark. The site was beautiful and everything. Seems like a lot of people lived there . And to get to our sites was a little confusing but we figured it out. We had riverside with a firepit and got to see a snake

The campground had not been cleaned up and the bathrooms needed help.

Very nice, quiet site if you don't mind a train once and a while. Backin spots can be challenging

We stayed at B13. This place was great, there was enough space between us and the camper next us and we felt safe. At no fault of the camp attendants, the trash bins do fill up pretty fast and it doesnt give off a great first impression when pulling into the area. Additional consideration; if you are a light sleeper the trains do run pretty frequently during the day and throughout the night. They didnt effect us but I could see where it might for someone who is light sleeper.

Prefect campsite for those with littles. It's right next to the park.

Great clean park with one exception this trip. The garbage dumpster was completely full and sacks of garbage was stacked on top! Come on people, lets get the dumpster dumped! Note: It was that way when we arrived and after4 nights it was really bad when we left!

Affordable, nice environment, showers and toilets available which is nice during cold weather. Have stayed twice and enjoyed both stays. Gentleman who manages place is very friendly! Really enjoyed Roma Italian Restaurant, Ozark Burger Co., and Daylight Donuts (must haves are their pinecones and apple fritters). Lots of trails for hiking and exploring.

Everything was good but no soap to wash hands

Had a very pleasant stay. The ranger deputized the kids and gave them all a wooden park ranger badge. It made their day!

Beautiful, very clean, nice grounds, helpful staff, spacious space with covered picnic tables at each site.

No ranger, sheriff or employee presence of any kind during our stay. Heat was off in the bathrooms. Firepits needed cleaned out. Dog next to us barked for 3 days because they would tie it out then go to the playground or the camper next to them. The dog watched them, barked, and no one made it be quiet. It's usually a good stay there, but improvements need to be made.

It was cold and windy when we stayed, but the site was nice, Park atendant was nice. Restroom/shower area was clean, but could use some updating. The only bad thing I would say is the railroad track on the other side of the river. Several trains came through while we were there (6 Nights) all hours of the day and night. Horns were pretty load. Overall not a bad little park. I would stay there again.

Beautiful location on the river. Clean and well maintained. No sites with sewer is a negative

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
