We always love our trips at this park. It is close to home & also to our kids & grandkids. Super happy about the cleanliness of the bathrooms....... On both sides of the campground. The workers are always very nice & helpful........... We have another one planned later in the year, but we also plan to get a couple more in between now & then........... Larry & Connie Sanders

When we arrived our campsite was filled with trash. Countless cigarette butts EVERYWHERE, trash in the fire pit (including the empty cigarette cartons), and burned pressure treated lumber. Pressure treated lumber contains copper, chromium, and arsenic and should never be burned. I hope the person before us is ok. https://www.srs.fs.usda.gov/pubs/ja/ja_mcmahon009.pdfWe told the camp host and the site was cleaned, however there was still remaining cigarette butts, trash, and ash from the pressure treated lumber fire. We ended up altering our reservation and moving to another site in the campground. The new site was still covered in trash but manageable enough for us to clean ourselves.

I have always loved Aux Arc Park. My parents always camped there every summer, in the 1980s and 90s., until November. I would often come from Kansas to camp with them on my Mom's birthday. On October 5, her birthday, I came and camped next to her spot. Her spot was already taken for that day. I loved the stay so much, I would have stayed longer, but the park was reserved up for the weekend. This is a beautiful park. The shade, wonderful, friendly employees, and that beautiful view just topped off my stay. It was absolutely perfect. It felt like home. I would say I would camp there again, but my view, and the blissful feeling I had staying there prompted me to purchase a lot to build on just east of the park. Love it!We will install RV hook ups for our friends and family when they come to visit, in case your park is full. Marlena Z
