We were just here to camp and continue hiking the Ozark Highlands Trail. The lady running the general store was so nice and welcoming. I would come back just for the hospitality. But the recreation area is of course amazing as well. Beautiful views from the well-maintained trails.

Amazing time as always. Kudos to the wonderful folks that take of the campground and cabins. They do an excellent job.

Magnificent. Camp sites, Cabins, Amazing People running this stunning site were all spectacular. Highly recommend to adventurous wanderers who are looking for an addition to their bucket list!

As seen in other reviews, the road to camp is the first thing you notice about this campground. It's about 20-25 miles, but it takes a good hour+ to get to the campsite once you hit the gravel/rock. It isn't difficult to drive, though, just slow. We made it up in a minivan. This means that once you're at the campground, you're not likely to want to go back to "civilization" if you can avoid it, other than when you leave. The good news is that there's a cool general store next to the campground--they sell the necessities you might have forgotten. We called ahead and had them deliver wood to our campsite, and we were able to get ice there. It looked like you could even order a pizza and have it delivered to your site (we thought we saw them delivering one to a neighbor).

We had site 8, which had a ton of shade, but the camp pad didn't really fit our (admittedly big) tent. We're a family of six, but we like to blow up air mattresses for camping, so we take a 10-man tent, and we had to turn it diagonally across the pad It still hung over, which was a bit of an issue since trees and unlevel ground were immediately next to the pad. If you have a big tent like this, I recommend sites 1 or 2; they lack some of the shade, but they're nice and wide open, so your tent can overhang the pad without issues, or you could move to some of the other parts of the site since it's so open. Honestly, all of these sites look adequate.

The views are amazing at the lookout, and we hiked the rim trail, which is an easy 2-mile hike. We also drove the 5+ miles back down the road and hiked the 1/2-mi hike to Rattlesnake Falls, at the host's recommendation. It was an easy hike, and although the water was COLD, it was a lot of fun.

The only recommendation I have is to be sure to stow your trash anytime you aren't at camp. We twice had raccoons get into trash that we'd hung. Once, it brazenly got into it just out of lamplight at night; the second time was while we were out during the day.

Great spot. Amazing easy and difficult hikes nearby with clean restrooms at the trailhead and camping spots. Amber in the general store is a wealth of knowledge, so definitely stop by to ask her opinion before heading out. Spots 5-8 are a little uneven if you plan on car camping so I I would go for 1-4 if you need a level spot.

Beautiful views, well maintained cabins and campsites, and the best customer service from the staff. Highly recommend!

Small, beautiful, secluded campground. Access to the White Rock Mountain Rim Trail directly from some of the campsites, which connects up with the Ozark Highlands Trail. There are a lot of cool areas to visit nearby as well, such as Devils Canyon, Fern Climbing Area, Lake Alma, and Lake Fort Smith State Park. The only downside to this campground is the lack of trashcans, but it isn’t too big a deal if you plan ahead. 24/7 quiet hours make this campground peaceful throughout the day.

Love this place. Campsites were all clean and well maintained. The view is spectacular also.

The views were beautiful. However the camping spots are too close. Found it difficult to mentally escape with so many people so close making so much noise. Grounds keepers were great, just didn't like the campgrounds.

Whole place is pretty incredible, even the drive up (might be rough for some vehicles). The views from around the area, especially along the trail that loops around is a must see. Firewood available on site, and even delivered is awesome, bathrooms are clean. Only downside I can think really is no nearby fishing, but its just a short drive away. If you're looking for a good spot to relax, this is it.

The view was amazing. The roads to get there are a bit challenging but we’ll worth it!
