We have always enjoyed camping at Bandit's Roost. We bring our grandchildren there as they have a basketball court and a swim beach, as well as a playground and paved roads for bicycling.

Nice campground, check-in quick and easy, reserved a spot up on top of hill over looking the lake. Level Campspot w nice level concrete cooking/grill table. Only two negatives were: 1.) massive invasion of stink bugs, all over outside of rv and many got inside thru slide seals. 2.) Glad campgrd stayed open during govt shutdown, however it too bad the campgrd is closed for the season on Oct 15. Especially with beautiful fall weather.

While we really like this campground and plan to come back, we stayed at site 13 and it was very difficult to get the camper even close to level.

We love Bandit's Roost campground. It tends to be quiet, cool and peaceful. A nice dock to fish from or launch your boat from. Electric and water at the site and two dump stations, one on each loop.

First time at the campground. Loved the views and our site in the trees. Bathhouse's need some serious updates. The water pressure and temp where perfect but everything else was seriously behind the needs to changing clothes, having shelf space etc.

Upon arriving early, were told by host/guard house keeper to go down the road and wait for over an hour because we were early. He further said that maintenance had to "go check the site water and electrical as always". We waited, and the next day several sites around us began to fill up at between noon and 3PM with no maintenace or even a person looking at the sites. Does this man and woman in the gate house have something against us? This is our third visit, and every time these folks have either made us wait of go online to change something in our reservation. Do they only like locals, as we've seen them around camper's campfires in the evening. They are not inviting pesonalities, and should not be allowed back next season. They do not own the park and make their own rules for out of town visitors.

Site 52A is a great site. It's all at the top of the hill, level with no steps, close walk to the restrooms and has two trees to hang hammocks from. I would highly recommend this site!

This park is declining. The Corps, it seems to us campers, do not want the campground to succeed. There is no security, gate stays open 24//7. Hardly any rangers patrolling. Since they did away with paid gate attendants, anyone can do as they please. The maintenance of the park is a disgrace. Management is either blind or just dont care.

I would feel more secure if the gate would get fixed. The way it is now, and it has been since last year anyone can drive in at anytime during the night. Not sure why it is not being addressed.

We had a very peaceful stay. It rained most of the time we were there but very soft good sleep rain. No problems at all and close enough to town that we were able to sample some of the restaurants. Make sure you go to Almost on the Lake it is only about a mile away. In town we ate at the Hilltop restaurant. They have the best fried white fish.

We reserved site 16A, which from the campground map as well as photos on the website, appears to be on the water as well as an individual campsite. It turns out that site 17A puts another camper basically in front of you (albeit off to the side) and that site 17A is tiered (picnic table, grill & fire ring down a set of stairs) so THEY have the lakeside site. This is true of several sites. But, there is a very convenient & nice boat launch available & lake is great to paddle in. The mountain bike trails are challenging but also very accessible. Restrooms/showers are old, but clean & good strong hot showers! Very nice helpful park volunteers.

Very satisfied with my stay site 11a was a little hard to back in with evening sun in my mirror.I will come back I'm going to try to get a spot down by the water next time. We used the boat ramp to launch our peddle boat. Caught lots of fish. There is a lot of striped bass in that lake.

Great tent sites, nice set up, bathrooms clean. Women's shower had a lot of standing water so didn't feel really clean but we were camping so. We will be back

My daughter and I love Bandit's Roost. It is clean and shady in the hot summer sun. There is a dock to fish off of. A swim area to swim in. Two clean dump stations, one in each loop. And best of all, I have the "old as dirt" membership card which gets me %50 off so $15 / night. It's kind of hard to get in except that I got on the cancellation list and this late in the season, folks cancel. I have camped the last 6 weekends of the season on cancellations.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
