Beautiful camp ground however not as well maintained as years past and was not secure. Many rule changes this year including noon check out time reducing the amount of time we can enjoy our stay. Very limited ranger patrol, no control over pets with out leases, boats were docked beside swimming area all week, bath houses were not stocked with soap all week, camp sites were covered in ankle deep weeds, lack of any ranger presence made it not seem safe like past years. Very sad:(

The campground is fine with the exception that most sites need add'l gravel because they have mud holes (some of them quite large) when it rains. This review however is for the people that have set new rules in place. This is in regards to this years change to the check out time, moving it from 3pm to 12pm. If you've ever camped, then you would realize how long it takes to pack up your campsite, particularly if you like to stay organized and pack items back up so you know where to find everything on your next trip, as opposed to half-hazardly "tossing" your items into any space you can pitch them into. You also have to wait until the prior nights dew can dry from your belongings, so they do not mold/mildew by putting them up wet, like camping mats, chairs, hammock, grill covers, RV awning, etc.And if you have ever tent camped, thats an entirely different story with all that must be dry before you pack it back up. In addition to packing up the outdoor supplies, you also have to store away everything inside your camper to make it travel ready, plus we do like to eat when we are camping and it woud be nice if time allowed you to fix breakfast & possibly lunch before you have it hit the road, which unfortunately does require extra time on your check out day.I don't think the individuals who implemented this new check out time, thought it through very well and its abundantly clear that they have never camped or they would know how absurd this check out time is. This cannot be compared to a hotel, where you only have to pack up your suitcase and check out. Please consider reinstating the 3pm checkout. We, and MANY of our friends, have camped at this campground for years and hate to consider changing to a different facility due to this & other thoughtless new rules that have come into effect since last year, like an unattended Gatehouse. Don't get me started on all that can wrong with that & the chaos & safety concerns that can ensue by that "non-bright" idea. Thanks

It is just a wonderful, beautiful place by the water. Its kept so neat and clean and its so quiet! .Im handicapped and use a wheelchair. The handicap, shower and bathroom is the best Ive ever had. The only thing I could say is that I wish they would put a curtain up in the shower area even though youre in the area by yourself and the door locks it just feels I dont know kind of weird just in case somebody were to come in the door youre right there taking a shower and it would just make me feel better if there was a curtain to pull across or something. That is a very minor thing but other than that we have nothing but wonderful things to say and the couple that work there that we got to interact with were just the sweetest, kindest people!! We just love it and we intend to go back many more times!!

Always a great campground to visit. We have been in great sites, site 28 and 29 are the best with great water views. Have been there a few times and will return. Everyone is welcoming and it is very quiet, relaxing and very clean. Highly recommended.
