Sites are so close together there is no privacy. There are various hiking trails that run right next to campsites, or between the lake and the camp sites. So instead of a nice view, you get to see dogs pooping, and hear rustling and noises going by your tent when you're trying to go to sleep. The onsite camp maintenance person was a Karen. He told me I had to turn by bluetooth speaker down, when it was barely up, and even if I had it up all the way it's literally only 3" in size and barely plays loud enough to even hear over someone talking. Plus the sign says quiet time is from 10pm and he was giving me grief at only 6pm... there were other people making way more noise, barking dogs, playing children, someone chopping wood... but my music was unacceptable... The tent pitch area is a square of garden timbers filled in with crush and run. I could feel the rocks all night long when I was trying to sleep, and I was worried they were going to put a hole in the bottom of my tent. The ground was so hard I ruined 4 tent stakes trying to hammer them into the ground. The view of the lake was kind of pretty, but everything else was terrible.

I love dispersed camping, but these campgrounds were awesome. Warm shower and bathroom facilities, onsite trash and just a quick transit to get on the trails cant be beat. Mostly quiet with the exception of the loud group on the other side partying, but an adjacent camper yelled at them to be quiet and that ended that party.

Campground and campsite was clean with no debris from previous campers.I wish you would add additional faucet for dish clearing.

Badin Lake Campground is a beautiful location alongside the banks of the lake. Its remote and a bit on the primitive side, which I appreciate. However, the toilet rooms and shower rooms leave much to be desired in the way of their upkeep and cleanliness. With a little effort and daily attention to Cleaning Im sure these Campground facilities could be more acceptable.

The upkeep of the campground has become nonexistent. The tent pads are full of ruts, the fire rings are rusted out so bad they have become a fire hazard because they are not getting cleaned out. During the past 12 years our group has been camping at Badin lake campground a minimum of 1 time a year most years we have camped 2 times a year and the upkeep of the campground has become nonexistent.

Good campground with most sites being fairly level. The bathhouse could use some work, given that we camped during the federal shutdown, so employees were scarce.

FYI firewood must be purchased before coming into park. This information wasn't immediately obvious and camp host may not there to advise.

Exactly what I was looking for. Campsite Right next to the water! We did a lot of Fishing, so getting to Camp, while on the Water, was Pretty Exciting!! The Showers and bathrooms were very essential! 2nd year going now and I can't wait for next Year !

We spent last weekend at Badin Lake c.g. Spot #9 and it was fantastic!!!!! The site itself is wonderful, tight on the water. However, its a little tricky getting down to the water! Fishing was slow but there was a terrible storm there our first night followed by s very chilly morning. Still it was relaxing, quiet and clean. The restroom was meticulously clean with hand soap available! I usually bring my own because there isnt soap, so I was surprised! The trash was empty and the floor constantly clean. Kudos to the camp host! The showers were also clean. Just stand clear of the spigots until the water warms up! We had a great time.

Great location and enough in the woods to be away from everything!!!! These are primitive sites so bring enough poser and water and it is golden!!!! We really enjoy it.

This lot is nice. Secluded, a short walk to the lake and trail, water spicket on edge of lot. Restrooms were very clean. Got there Thursday. Friday evening there were a good amount to kids with families that came in so that kinda broke the nature silence vibe. Overall its a great campsite Will return .

I stayed here in part just for pleasure and in part for a Uwharrie Jeep Jamboree. My campsite (#16) was clean and well-maintained, with bathrooms, showers, trash, and water all conveniently nearby. There was a nice little path from the back of my site that led to a trail along the lake side, very pleasant. Facilities were a a little worn (a few missing tiles in the shower, that kind of thing) but worked fine and were cleaned/stocked regularly during the week I was there. The tree cover at my site blocked direct sun from the tent/parking areas during the early morning and late afternoon, but was clear in the middle so the late morning/early afternoon light was unobstructed - I was able to set up a solar panel and get around 4 hours of good charging time on sunny days. The trees also provided a little bit of privacy with the neighboring sites. Minor detail but nice was that the gravel in the tend pad area was on the smaller/finer side, so I could go barefoot inside my tent in reasonable comfort. I'd definitely consider staying here again on future Uwharrie visits.

My partner and I really enjoyed this campground and found this site to be just what we wanted! Close to the waters edge with a short stroll through the woods and close enough to the bathroom and trash station.

We stayed on the lower loop of Badin Lake Campground. The area is really nice and peaceful. It was during the week so there were barely any people there. However, the second night someone showed up at the site next to us at 8:30 PM and proceeded to run a generator until 2am. My understanding was that no generators were allowed at the campground. Needless to say it ruined the rest of the stay so we decided to leave early. The camp host did nothing about it.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
