We spent last weekend at Badin Lake c.g. Spot #9 and it was fantastic!!!!! The site itself is wonderful, tight on the water. However, its a little tricky getting down to the water! Fishing was slow but there was a terrible storm there our first night followed by s very chilly morning. Still it was relaxing, quiet and clean. The restroom was meticulously clean with hand soap available! I usually bring my own because there isnt soap, so I was surprised! The trash was empty and the floor constantly clean. Kudos to the camp host! The showers were also clean. Just stand clear of the spigots until the water warms up! We had a great time.

Horrible from the moment I arrived until my wife and I left a day early. Barking dogs, screaming children, gravel tent pad, and generator running until 11.00 pm. I bent 4 iron stakes trying to guy out the tent. I finally gave up and tied the tent to the trees. Campsite 09 had a rusted-out grill so I asked the camp host to move to 14. the tent pad there sloped so I pitched the tent on the high end. The ground at that site was also so hard I finally got 2 stakes in the ground. The Loud couple next to me didn't quite down until after midnight and it sounded like World War three with acorns hitting the tent all night. The next morning early I packed up and moved back to 09. Again, all day long dogs barking, kids screaming and people walking through the campsite along the lake. This is supposed to be a tent only campground. Not so. RVs with generators going well after 10:00 when quite time was listed by campground rules. I can't remember when I have had such a bad camping experience. Will not be back or recommend this campground to anyone.

Our campsite was amazing. So peaceful and spacious. We always have the best time here at uwharrie. So much to do and see. Love this place.

Bathrooms are not as nice as many places, but were reasonably clean. Still no soap provided! Roads very rough. View and atmosphere were amazing, as always

There was someone in my reserved spot when I arrived but the host was very helpful in fixing the issue. This campground seems to stay pretty busy but it was overall quiet and clean. Lots of recreation nearby.

Campsite was nice, had a large level tent pad, poles for hanging garbage bags, a big picnic table and a pretty good sized fire ring. Our site was right on the water, Number 09, so we had easy access to the water which was great. Showers and bathrooms were sufficient. The lake was very nice, even with the motorboat traffic the waters were really calm. Only downside was the group camping, or actually RVing at the site next to ours, Number 07 I believe. They were friendly enough. But they ran there gas generator THE ENTIRE DAY!!! Only time they shut it off was during quiet hours, 2200-0600. It was not very peaceful to wake up to that thing each morning and have it drown out the sounds of nature all day. We had to play music at a fairly high volume to not hear it.

This was my 3rd time at this campsite. There are awesome views. The lake right at the edge of the site. Nice shooting range right down the road. Had a great time there.
It was a nice stay except for the camp host, or someone staying with them, would fire up a very noisy vehicle at about 5am every morning. So much for sleeping in during vacation. The camp host also has some very barky dogs.

The most beautiful and peaceful spot we have camped at excepted for host's barking dogs. Great sunsets enjoy the lapping water up against the shore line and love the walking trails.

Best site in this campground! Be aware that it is directly on the lake trail so you will get visitors to your campsite. Fall colors were beautiful this time of year!

Really lovely campsite and perfect for a quick overnight with kids. Site 9 was spacious and shaded - with access to the water!

However, the best lakeside access is in the loop without power and water. Shower had a few missing tiles.

Everything was good just never sen host ,didn't know where to dump camper,so had to drive over to arrowhead campground, but overall was a good trip
