We had camping spot 6 which is a double. Plenty of room for us. Womens bathroom didnt have soap the first day but I think they clean the bathrooms and empty trash daily. It rained all day one of our days but trees were close enough and we were able to put a huge tarp over campsite so we werent stuck in the tents all day. Boat landing isnt far.

The upkeep of the campground has become nonexistent. The tent pads are full of ruts, the fire rings are rusted out so bad they have become a fire hazard because they are not getting cleaned out. During the past 12 years our group has been camping at Badin lake campground a minimum of 1 time a year most years we have camped 2 times a year and the upkeep of the campground has become nonexistent.

We have been coming to this campground and this particular site for the past four years. It has just been going downhill each year. The tent sites are hard and rocky - so hard that you cant even hammer in tent pegs. We did not see the site manager the entire three days we were there. The ladies toilet was not working all three days. Shower water too hot to use in July. On our third night there a group of people rolled into the site next to us at 3 AM and were extremely loud and disruptive. We werent able to go back to sleep until 5 AM. Then we were woken again at 6:30 by the same group of people, making loud vomiting noises, laughing obnoxiously, and yelling to each other across the campsite. Still no sign of the campground host. Several surrounding guests were very annoyed and even ended up packing up and leaving early because of them. When my husband mentioned to one of the women that they had woken us up, her baby daddy went on a tirade for 45 minutes about how he was going to physically assault my husband, including threatening that he had a gun. All of this in front of our children. We never did see the camp post. Unfortunately until this campground gets better management I dont think well be coming back.

Badin lake is our favorite place to vacation. There are a few things that have changed lately that concern me. I still recommend going here. It's a fun place to go boating, riding trails, or just relax.

Had to listen to campers in site #4s generator from 8 am to 10 pm EVERY day for 5 days! If you feel the need to run your generator to disturb others please invest in a quiet one!! We came to the lake to relax, to enjoy ourselves as well.but having to yell over the sound of your generator was not enjoyable, we stayed on edge and couldnt enjoy ourselves at all! We did get to listen to nature from 10 to 11 pm.I hope you had a good time and teach your kids to respect others when camping. Camp host is incredibly nice and helpful and we usually love it there, maybe our next time in September will be quieter!

The campground itself is beautiful. Our site was right on the water. Sites are very private. Bathrooms are rough. Ran out of toilet paper several times. The worse part was the camp ranger. Very rude, miserable and nasty. Almost ruined our weekend. Other than that we had a great time.
