Exactly what I was looking for. Campsite Right next to the water! We did a lot of Fishing, so getting to Camp, while on the Water, was Pretty Exciting!! The Showers and bathrooms were very essential! 2nd year going now and I can't wait for next Year !

The road into the campground was gravel and miles long, but fairly smooth, not overly rutty. Partially shady site was beautiful right on the lake, a half minute walk to the water. Waters edge is eroded, so about 4 feet down, cant wade in. Sites had some privacy with foliage/trees between. Bathroom, clean, just up the hill next to the campground host, whose site is directly across from this site. Two hooks for hanging lanterns, table, fire pit with grate. Site had shade, and sun directly in the tent/table area. . For all shade, choose the site to the left (if facing the lake).

Very clean site. Clean bathrooms. Site is sloped but mostly evens at the bottom. We enjoyed our stay.

Camp host only present half of the first day. The showers were filthy and horrifically hot!!! Ran out of toilet paper. Cancelled early and left then tried to be refunded for the remaining 3 nightsstill no answer and told unable to process online. Will not be back nor will I recommend.

Campsite was great and lake was stunning. The trash in the lake, carpet remnant and old tire, werent as nice. The weather wasnt great so we had to leave early, but we enjoyed our one night and hope to be back soon.

We had a great time camping at Badin Lake Campground. The site was ready for us when we arrived. There was no trash around the site and the fire pit even seemed to have been maintained / cleaned out. We were right along the water which was fun and made for a great sunset! We had our dog with us and he enjoyed playing in the water. We will definiately be coming back to camp here again. Crystal was also very helpful with giving us information about the campground and was very friendly!

Loved the location. Needs some work, fire rings rusted out, showers not working properly, picnic table need work. Overall though it was a good stay.

I didn't have a good experience for the following reasons:*The noise levels - All night until about 12AM someone perhaps across the lake was blasting music all night. I kept waking up because of it and it became aggravating. *Broken locks -While it is good Badin Lake provided amenities such as a toilet and showering, the bathroom door didn't lock, and it put me on edge thinking someone could walk in at any time*The camp hosts -While I am happy that there is a camp host he or she often didn't arrive until late at night and I heard their cat yowling loudly before their arrival and it made me think they stay away all day and only come back at night to sleep, and it made me worried about the cat*Lack of activities -I didn't enjoy my stay because it felt all I could do was just sit around - to my knowledge there was no activities *El Derado Gas station -Being this is the only store near the campground I expected them to have dish soap and they didn't and also none of their lids fit the coffee cup so I wasn't able to take my coffee back and sip on it and drive because the coffee would spill there also was not a variety of creamer only French Vanilla*Check in a check out -the website isn't clear where to check in and check out and they were closed when i called to find out - I thoroughly read through guidelines and didn't see anything on early departure - If i would have known I could do early departure I would have done that second day I do enjoy the Uwharries and the shopping center, but this trip wasn't a good or enjoyable one for me unfortunately. I wanted to leave early the next night but wasn't aware I could do an early departure.

This is a great campsite because of access to the lake for kayaks and swimming, but the downside is that for whatever reason there are trails through all of the campsites around the loop. So you randomly have strangers traipsing through your campsite, leaving you to calm your (leashed) barking and lunging dogs who were startled by the unexpected strangers. It's really a poor plan and leaves campers vulnerable.

We have been camping here for almost 30yrs. We love it. There's never any trouble. People respect others for the most part. The lake is beautiful! It's not perfect, but we love it!

The lake was lovely and we enjoyed hiking and biking down to the point.My one problem is that there are only 4 total stalls as restrooms at the lower level campsites and they are only cleaned every 3 days, even in the summer! (I could see the calendar/sign in on the back of the door.) Ours was cleaned on Thursday before the weekend and then mens room was locked from the inside, so everyone used the ladies room and it was filthy. The host didnt have a key, and the other bathroom sometimes had a line for the ladies room. This wasnt the comfort level Im used to at NC State Parks.

I have loved going to Badin Lake for 37yrs. It's my favorite place to vacation. It's not as good as it used to be though.🤷‍♀️ I will still continue to go for now.

Campsite was nice with view and access to the lake. The bathrooms are only cleaned every four days and after a busy weekend lets just say it the bathrooms and showers weren't pretty. The host rarely if ever left his camper to make sure things were tidy and TP replenished. Overall the site 011 was roomy was awesome lake access!

Beautiful site and easy to find. It was great having the hiking trail go right through the camping area. The only reason a 4 star as opposed to a 5 star; the bathrooms were not clean.
