Nice campsite. Full hookups, close to the Sacramento River. Didn't use any facilities. Only overnighted. Well laid out. Would return.

Clean and well maintained campground. the bathrooms were in close proximity to all the campsites I loved being so close to the river. I will definitely be back in the future.

Terrific Camp Host. Beautiful camp and setting. I would not mind if it were cooler, but for August in the valley it was fine. Good shaded campsite. Really excellent place.

This is a great overnight stop. I think in cooler seasons it might deserve more than one night. It is a reasonably priced option with an electric hookup and a nice shower. The sites are large and mostly shaded and the host is very nice. It's my go to going north on I-5.

It was a wonderful place to spend a few nights and enjoy the national and state parks nearby. The fishing and outdoor options are amazing.

Its a great campground. clean, quiet, close to the river. We felt like we were far away from town, but really maybe 10 min from town. On the morning we were going to leave, our truck starter wouldnt work. AAA workman took us to OReilly Auto Store to buy a new starter wh my husband was able to install. The hosts Lee and Sherman were very supportive and helpful. They felt like family.

This campground is a great little hideaway thats right off I-5 without feeling like theres a freeway nearby. The camphost patrols regularly and was extremely friendly and helpful. Although the temp was high, we enjoyed our peaceful stay.

I am an older single woman who needs travel to Red Bluff often. My choice of a place to stay is always Sycamore Grove. Situated on the bank of the Sacramento River, the campground provides miles of paved walking trails, has a Discovery Center and botanical garden within walking distance. It is quiet and has manicured grounds. I have always felt safe staying there. Heidi and John are knowledgeable and competent hosts. They do a good job of managing the campground.

I was a bit worried about an "urban" campground, but the facilities were in good working order, and the camp host welcomed me while I was still getting parked to answer any questions and give me the bathroom codes. (I think her name was Lee.) The electricity was welcome since it was over 100 degrees when I arrived. Most importantly, I felt safe camping there. I'd camp there again if traveling on I-5.

The camp hosts do a great job of keeping the campground clean and are very friendly. I appreciate the work that they've done and the vibe that they have created there. I have been going there for over 40 years and it's the most pleasant visit that I had there in a long time.

I stayed at tent site #8, which is located across the road from a group campsite. There was a very noisy group that played loud music from the late afternoon to 10pm and it sounded like a nightclub. After the host (very friendly and thoughtful) spoke to them they turned off the music but shouted, laughed, and talked loudly till 2am. I was very glad to have brought my earplugs with me. On the other side of my tent site someones dog kept barking every time the group site made noise. I didn't get much sleep the first night. The next day, all the campers who were staying at tent sites near the noisy group site left. It was only me left and a couple of men from the noisy group walked past my tent site and glared at me aggressively. As a solo female camper this made me feel very uncomfortable; it was also unfair to be treated this way when I didn't complain about the noise they made. This experience led me to realize that public campgrounds arent very safe for solo campers anymore. Gone are the days where everyone understood campground etiquette and respected a campers desire to be closer to nature. Most people who go camping want to hear the sounds of nature--birds, frogs, crickets, or owls. Not dance music with pounding bass. I think private campgrounds may be better at enforcing the peace and quiet. If you do decide to ckme here, I recommend staying at a campsite farther away from the group site!

The campground itself is very nice, well groomed and clean. We have stayed here several times over the last 4 years and have noticed an increase in what seems to be homeless camping here. Our first time we stayed here the camp hosts told us that they were cleaning up the homeless camp sites and asking them to leave. Now it seems to be a problem again with homeless campers simply moving from site to site every couple of days. Law enforcement made 3 trips to the campground in one day responding to calls while we were there for our 4 day camp trip. I spoke to one of the deputies and he told me they try to cruise through on a regular basis to show there presence. It seemed to us that at least 50% of the campers there were homeless. The campsites looked very similar to homeless encampments you see on the streets in Sacramento. We will think twice before returning to Sycamore Grove campground in the future.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
