Restrooms were clean, water for showers was hot and available, trails were in good shape, host was helpful, and cell coverage was good. Our only complaint was that the pit toilet was quite stinky and you could smell it at some distance. However, there was a regular flush toilet available.

I enjoyed the stay here for 4 days. I didn't get the camp host's name, but she was great. She answered all of my questions with a great attitude, and always seemed to be busy and visible. Will stay again for sure if I'm in the area.

Sycamore campground was a great place to stay for the night. They have green grass, spacious sites, quiet atmosphere, clean bathrooms, coin showers, and payment was easy through Recreation.gov.

Amazingly managed, there is a nicely planned area to park the car, a table and a place to put a tent the electric hook ups and the tap are very convenient

This camp spot (#17) was my first stay on the inner circle. I liked the hookups, site location and shade.It was a fine stay, with exception of other campers loud profane music, which caused the campers to yell at each other over music volume. There is a lot of foot traffic thru #17, it's a shortcut to the bathroom, be prepared. The actual campground bathroom has flush toilets, running water at a sink, and the best part... it has showers. You plunk quarters into the meter... bring your own quarters. I appreciated the shower bench and dual head faucets in the ADA shower.Hosts are friendly enough. I know there is a huge amount of work to maintain the grounds, maybe they need an extra person. They do work hard, but man those toilets, ugh!The three of the pit toilets need attention badly. Usually only 1 of two are unlocked for use. The smell from these pit toilets is so bad, I quit visiting day use for a time. I was overpowered with hot toilet smell, and found it unpleasant even at the picnic tables.All the pits need service to empty the contents. Very desperately. There has been feces around the first day use toilet for dayyys. Just my opinion,. Bathrooms are important for every one. Every day. Cleanliness is huge in such an enclosed space. Please consider help, if even only for bathroom duty. The park is beautiful but the pit toilets do not reflect the passion of care this recreation area deserves.

The restrooms were very basic and soap was missing and only refilled for the second night of my stay. One could hear the near interstate more than I expected, but apart from that everything was fine and working properly.

Clean, nice sites, plenty of open space, easy access from I-5

Pretty campground, good hiking, walking, bike path trails. Make sure to check your confirmation email for the bathroom/shower code. Bring quarters for showers and your own firewood.

We were near the edge of the campground, so very spacious. It is a lovely place to stop off of I5. Well-kept, lots to see and do, just a great experience all the way around.

I booked this campsite for my husband and our cousin who came here from LA. As my cousin was trying to use the restroom the man camphost came up to him and was extremely rude and disrespectful. He has some medical.problems he was assessing next to the bathroom and the camp host accused him of being shady and doing shady things when he was letting the air out of his colostomy bag. He said if you donr get around front you will have to leave this place immediately. After this ordeal he came to their campsite and gave them another hard time saying what they were cooking was awful and to through it away. First off not sure who he thinks he is or why he feels the need to talk to be this way. Maybe he should find another job. The woman was quite respectful and very helpful. The price was fair and its a beautiful campground. But I think who ever has this man in charge needs to access him because hes a disgrace.

Beautiful, peaceful sites amongst the Sycamore trees just a few miles off of I5 yet we only heard the wind and birds. Very helpful and friendly camp host. Note you must make an advance registration. Coming from WA we stayed overnight both directions going to Yosemite.

Great campground near red bluff. Quite nice walk near the river. Easy off I 5 and only 1mile back to I5. Wish there was an rv dump station.

Its a lovely campground. I mistakenly reserved the wrong dates. When i arrived, the campground hostess informed me that they were looking for me the night before, and that the site that I thought I had reserved was reserved for the time that I had expected to be there. But, she let me reserve a different site, although I needed to make another payment. I enjoyed the experience.

Great campground. Host is nice and runs a smart campground,
@CarolH5284850 · Camped on Mar 10, 2026
The camp host was gone. The site had a tree limb that would not allow to put the rv all the way back. Homeless on the road coming in and in the park. Did not feel safe. Two campers were still at sight and had expired dates. Looked to be homeless.

Clean, quiet campsite with hookups. Well-maintained bathroom. Convenient to I5.

The park was beautiful and sites very clean and level. Online check-in/res was very easy to use.
@MarkH6047851 · Camped on Mar 4, 2026 at Campsite #18
Maybe the time of year, but there was no host and some questionable unattended tents. The sight we reserved was too small to stay connected with RV; more information on the website would have helped. Moved to a larger site but no utility hookups.

Campground is part of a local park on River, so there is vehicle traffic, including boat launches. I wouldnt stay here on weekend nights. But, for a 1 night stop it was ok. Bathrooms werent that great; need quarters. There are camp hosts. There looked to be permanent campers closest to riverSome sites have electric and others dont; generator noise was loud.Its a great locals park for walking dogs, viewing birds on trails. Some locals let their dogs off leash, which of course isnt allowed. Theres always people who feel entitled to break the regulations ruining it for those who choose to peacefully cohabitate.

Perhaps it was the slow day, but we very much enjoyed the quiet of the park. This was our last day of the 3-day return trip and it was just what was needed. Clean restrooms.

Sycamore Grove campground is a favorite place to stop for the night on my drive between Oregon and San Diego. Quick and easy access from I-5, but far enough so that traffic noise is not an issue. The hosts do a great job of maintaining the campground.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
