Campground is part of a local park on River, so there is vehicle traffic, including boat launches. I wouldnt stay here on weekend nights. But, for a 1 night stop it was ok. Bathrooms werent that great; need quarters. There are camp hosts. There looked to be permanent campers closest to riverSome sites have electric and others dont; generator noise was loud. Its a great locals park for walking dogs, viewing birds on trails. Some locals let their dogs off leash, which of course isnt allowed. Theres always people who feel entitled to break the regulations ruining it for those who choose to peacefully cohabitate.

Clean and well maintained campground. the bathrooms were in close proximity to all the campsites I loved being so close to the river. I will definitely be back in the future.

Sycamore Grove is a very clean and quiet campground. We stopped for one night while traveling south in our campervan. We rolled in at ~ 7:00 pm without a reservation, but there were plenty of good sites available. After choosing a campsite, we just used the website to book it (we had good cell coverage there with T-Mobile).The main bathroom was clean and in good order. It has flush toilets, and the sinks even have hot water. There are coin-operated showers that we didn't use, but obviously work. There are a couple vault toilets on the other side of the campground, but we didn't use them, so I can't comment on them (but I'm guessing they're fine too). The campground is very conveniently located just a few minutes off of I-5. Remarkably, despite its close proximity to the Interstate, highway noise is absolutely not an issue at Sycamore Grove. It is quiet and very calm there. We will definitely stop here again.

Camp Host welcomed us upon arrival and knew we were coming. Campground is much cleaner then in the past. Host takes pride in making sure the campground is in good shape.

Easy to reserve site online, easy in and out of campground, beautiful site, wonderful walking trails adjacent to the campground. Highway noise is there, but not annoying. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice and quiet campground. Close to I-5 but very little road noise. Nice walking trails and good restaurants near by.

It is a nice place that is convenient to Interstate 5. The amenities are minimal and some of the visitors are a bit noisy but worth the $16/night I spend there on my every other month trip down to the Bay Area.

The campground host was nowhere to be found the afternoon/evening of our arrival despite the “host on duty “ sign. We had to obtain the restroom code from another camper. Otherwise our stay was good, and the facilities were in good shape.

Restrooms were closed. No lake access. Campsite very noisy and the host didn’t enforce anything.

Surprisingly nice campground right next to the now defunct Red Bluff Diversion Dam. Easy reservations and great cell service.

Nice job given Covid-19. The port-a-potties seemed to be well maintained. I was a bit disappointed in some of the hikers/walkers lack of mask usage but that is a common problem all over California.

Pleasant enough. Watch-out though, there is on-line pre-registration only. Frustrating to be at the campground, with plenty of camp sites available, yet still required to pre-register on-line and pay an additional $8 to do so. Bring soap and a towel with you to the restroom. Camp host was friendly, and showed up soon after we arrived to make sure we had pre-registered on line, and told us the access-codes for the restrooms, etc. The road to the campground can flood, and theres no other entrance/exit should that occur
