Nice roomy campsites. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Nice to be in a campground where you arent right on top of one another. Grateful that it escaped damage from the fire an hopefully will come back stronger next year.

We really enjoyed our stay at Demotte Campground. Easy access to trails and hiking. Lots of open space. Good access to the north rim of the Grand Canyon. The only unfortunate thing was our evacuation from Demotte due to the White Sage and the Dragon Bravo fires. We are saddened by the tragic loss of the Grand Canyon lodge and surrounding infrastructure. But grateful that Demotte still survives.

This is a great campground. Mark (camp host) keeps the bathrooms spotless. The gate at the end of the campground is not locked and provides access to unlimited trails to explore the north rim of the Grand Canyon. There is good shade from the trees, but I would recommend bringing a personal canopy to supplement.

While we're not huge campers, this campground is the nicest I've ever been to. We've been to campgrounds with pools, stores, etc. of course and this option is more remote but it is just beautiful. The spots are pretty private, bathrooms are very clean and location is excellent.

Campsite was well maintained, toilets very clean. Peaceful wooded area, not far from the park entrance.

I made the reservation for Demotte campground but was hoping to grab a late cancellation at the North rim campground. Unfortunately, that was not possible as there was no one to communicate with on site and rec.gov never answered the help line.The location description a bit misleading and made me think it was closer to the North rim for hiking and Ranger activities: "The DeMotte Campground is located within the North Kaibab Ranger District just seven miles north of the entrance to the Grand Canyon National Park's North Rim". But the campsite was as described. Onsite help was very accommodating, and the dark skies were magnificent.

Perfect campsite for stargazing. Clean restrooms and campground is located in a scenic area of Kaibab National forest. Overall it was a great experience.

DeMotte is a peaceful campground set among tall pines and aspens. When I visited in mid-June it was clean and peaceful.

Super close drive to the North Rim. The campsite was in great shape.

This was our 2nd visit to Demott. The sites are nicely spaced and the tent pads are generally level and of adequate size for a 10x10 tent or larger. The host does a good job to be sure camp sites are clean for the next campers and keeps the toilets clean. The location is excellent to visit the North Rim of the Grand Canyon which is less than a half hour away. There are also great forest service roads to explore outside the park. With only 38 sites it is quiet and peaceful. It's also convenient to have the country store across the street as well as the Kaibab Lodge next door. We'll book next years trip when the window opens.

We took the shuttle from South to North rim and were dropped off at Kaibab Lodge. This campground was 5-8 minute walk away and well maintained. Restrooms were clean. We spend the night and caught the morning from Kaibab Lodge to North Rim Trail. It fitted our needs as we completed the R2R. And since we were already backpacking and going to camp at Bright Angel Campground the next night there was no issue with camping the 1st night at Demotte. It worked out great. Highly recommend this site.

This campground was absolutely amazing! It was very clean and quiet. The restrooms were the cleanest Ive ever seen at a campground and the host was extremely nice. He drove around making sure everyone was doing ok and seeing if we needed anything! We will definitely be back!!

Nice campground. Clean toilets. Camp host does a great job. Could not get a spot at North Rim, this is only about a half hour away and had spots available. Some of the sites are not big enough for big RV or travel trailers, so pick carefully. Close to the little store across the highway.

Site 33 was a great location for tent camping. There was a very clean vault toilet not very far away. The site is in the corner nicely spaced away from other sites and in the woods. We saw deer in the woods near our site in the morning. The location for accessing the north rim is great. The ground is hard, bring steel tent stakes and a good tent stake hammer!

I visited Demotte campgrounds around 9-15-24 for 3 nites. I was in a tent only site that was large and clean. All the sites looked clean and large, RV and tent. The toilets were clean and there was potable water also. They had firewood for sale for a decent price and it was cured. No cell phone coverage. Remember, elevation is 8500 ft, so cool at nite.

This campground was well run and the toilets kept clean and well serviced. Enjoyed our stay here as we visited the area.Steve Hersey

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
