This is a beautiful campground with lots of trees. It is maintained well and was an easy drive to and from the North Rim.

Nice pleasant area with large and mostly private sites with picnic tables and fire rings. Mostly back in sites but there are a few pull throughs. Fairly level, gravel sites. Helpful and friendly Camp Host. Reasonably priced with available discounts for seniors and perhaps others. It was further from the Rim than I expected; about 17 miles as I recall. Overall, very nice and would stay again.

Very accommodating, did not spend much time here but it was a great pit stop for what we needed.

The campground hosts were the best we have ever experienced. They were friendly and hospitable. The bathrooms were the cleanest we have ever used!

What a beautiful campground! Our family just completed a two week camping trip across the west. We unanimously agreed that Demotte was our favorite campground of the entire trip. Great setting, clean, well attended and memorable. Will definitely return.
It was a very nice campground! Very clean! In fact, the cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever used in a campground.

Awesome spot. As close as you can get to the grand canyon without being stuck in the crowd. Bathrooms were pristine. Everyone was very friendly and great camp hosts.

This is where you camp when you can't get in at the Rim - a good 15 miles away. It is a nice, well maintained, standard FS style campground with clean restrooms and a host - just a bit off the road. There are some trees and some underbrush but the experience, as I said, is standard decent FS, nothing exceptional, and no RV services or cell service. What is good is the nearby camp store/gas station and coffee truck, both run by friendly folks. The coffee truck has killer java that will put hair on your chest and make you vibrate.
Another thing of note is just a bit to the south is FR22, your gateway to wonder. If you head up that road a mile or so west (nasty washboards at the beginning) you'll come to an intersection where there is free open camping in the NF with room for several vehicles - there was a monster 5th wheel there when I passed by. And it wasn't spooky. You can take the roads off of FR22 all the way to Point Sublime, although I would have a good clearance vehicle to do it. You can even cut back to 67 that way although that road is a bit stiffer. Lots of places for free, legal camping.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
