The camp host, Shirley, was very helpful and such a delight to talk with. She helped me pick out the perfect campsite. Unfortunately, due to the terrible fires in the area, I needed to evacuate and could not enjoy my second night.

Well maintained, clean campground. Campsites are spaced far enough apart. Toilets are clean and non-smelly. Convenient stop for one or more nights. We were there before the wildfires erupted on July 9; sending our thoughts to all affected.

Group site is great for 6 ever/trailers and about 4 tents. A little far for a weekend from the valley but good location to access to the north rim

I really enjoyed our stay. We have a favorite site and we were able to get it for our stay. We love the Jacob's lake store. Great homemade cookies. We usually go hiking g along the Arizona trail.

This Campground worked out very well for me as a Base Camp to finish the passages of the Arizona Trail.The Toilets were kept very clean by the Campground Hosts and we found our campsite to be quiet. This is a good place to stay if traveling along Highway 89A and convenient if you drive to the North Rim of theGrand Canyon for a Day trip.

Quite high elevation and convenient for north rim of Grand canyon. Across the road from gas station, right off highway. Nice sites, very clean toilet. I just wish I didn't have to be told about my dogs the moment I stepped out of my vehicle.

The campground hosts were great.

Jacob Lake Campground was fine, but the policies of Recreation Resource Management of America (concessionaire) are not! We made our reservations back in March for camping in June. Between the time we made our reservations and our stay, the policy changed to include a charge of $15 per day for any vehicle over a single vehicle per site (including your camper!). So I paid $112 per site (2 sites) for 4 nights of dry camping, and they wanted to charge me $120 extra when we got there because we had a total of 2 vehicles per site. That means that our 24 foot van, plus my Jeep, with two people, cost $45 per night for a campground with no amenity except a vault toilet. My kids' site; a single tent (two people) each with their own car, also cost $45 per night. Ridiculous. The camp hosts trawl around the campground asking if you've paid for your "extra" vehicles. Apparently, if you park on the site during the day, no problem. Host even recounted a story where a site had a camper plus 5 cars, but since they left before nighttime, they didn't get charged. But if the car stays overnight, they want to charge you the $15. They accept payment in cash or check only. Frankly, it feels like a scam. There is no receipt provided, there is no way to pay on recreation.gov. Only hand over the cash to the host. There is no way to know what they'll charge in advance, or how much they'll extort. The whole experience was gross, and will definitely keep us from returning. So disappointing. Look for dispersed camping sites nearby instead.

The management company, Recreation Resource Management of America, is ruining the experience of camping at Jacob Lake Campground. A dry tent site with two people, each with their own car is $45 per night. The only amenity is a vault toilet. Toilets are clean, which is a plus. But camp hosts driving around randomly charging people an extra $60 cash for a four night stay because they have two cars instead of one is ridiculous. Stop the madness. Stop taking advantage of people. We've been to many campgrounds and RV parks in 5 years of full time camping. This "policy" of charging $15 for a second car is nuts. It feels like extortion and we won't be back.

The generator-hours are too long(10 am to 8 pm). We have a neighbour, which use the generator from 4 pm to 8 pm. We have no recreation for this time.

The host was kind about my extended family coming to our camper for dinner. We were able to fit the extra vehicles.

We had a great time, the spot was shaded, wide, clean. Cell coverage is ok, but we were there for hiking. Nice and quiet. Host was was nice.

Nice campground. Just wish it wasn't $30 per night with no hookups

The reputation is warranted. The whole place is super clean and well kept. The weather in the surrounding valleys was well into the 100's yet this ponderosa pine forest oasis was at least 20 degrees cooler!

The campsite is very well maintained and the area is beautiful. The best campsite I've been to so far. The only reason I'm not giving this campsite 5 stars is because of the restrooms. They reek in the mornings until the campsite manager does his cleaning around 9am. Other than that, the campsite is perfect.
@ErinS5754026 · Camped on Jun 4, 2025 at Campsite #51
The location is crisp and cool at its high elevation. Perfect location for camping.
@DonL7703358 · Camped on May 26, 2025 at Campsite #37
In terms of "Value," this place is overpriced. $30 per night for the site, with no water, electricity, or showers. The toilets are very clean. It's just a place to park. The sites have a fair amount of space between them, and it was quiet when we were there. There are boondocking opportunities in the area that should be explored.

We stayed at many campgrounds on our journey for two weeks. We enjoyed this campground the most and were sad to only have had a short time. Hosts were wonderful

The site was clean and spacious. The pines surrounded the site and gave shade during the day. The campground hosts were very friendly and helpful. Loved our stay and would highly recommend it. Bathrooms were cleaned daily.
@nickr7905149 · Camped on May 22, 2025 at Campsite #27
Very well kept background with bathrooms and running water. Camping spaces are well spaced out. We had 5 tents and all fit comfortably around the site. Not a lot of wood around for campfires, but you can buy some at the site. About 45 mins drive from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

Nice campground no issues.

This was a beautiful campground with a very helpful camp host. However, we took a chance at going down to DeMotte and were able to get a site there. We called back to the camp host to let her know since it was too late to cancel. We had a nice spot at Jacobs Lake and wanted to release it to anyone who may drive up looking for a spot.Anyway, it was quite beautiful and I would stay there if in the area again.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
