We were there for 5 nights and the bathrooms weren't cleaned until the 5th afternoon. And that was done by a ranger! I think they have better things to do. What happened to the contract people? I remember when the host actually did SOMETHING. They're are 2 host campers up there doing almost nothing!

We used our Wright's guide to Corps of Engineers campgrounds to find this campground, and the directions were all mixed up. We were at the end of a long day of driving and had to turn around twice. The signs are not posted clearly enough, and that was a problem. The campground itself was lovely.

We love camping at Dam Site River. It was the 1st time camping up near the dam we usually camp down below. We loved how one day the water was released at a 2 and the water flow was moving and the next day it was off and we could just float and enjoy the view of nature and water. I think the only thing that wasn't great were the ticks and there was a concrete vehicle stop right next to our picnic table which we had to step over all the time. That is a hazard and dangerous for anyone day or night.

Very nice and quiet place, we loved the fact that we could walk down the river from our campsite. The bathrooms were not very clean, showers were weird.

Bring plenty of tick spray and check your children. We have camped here in the past. This May they are bad.

We loved the campsite we had close to the rest room and access point to the river. The sites are shady and the grounds well tended. Take a trip into Eureka Springs to eat and enjoy the historic sights.

Clean showers and restrooms. Large camping spots with good shade. Close to the river.

We really like this campground. The proximity to the river for fishing is great, an easy walk. The restrooms could be cleaner and the dumpster needs to be emptied more often.

The camp host was great and very helpful!

Nice sites, beautiful area. Very friendly host. Bathrooms could use more attention and should be cleaner.

Site #36 at the pines is a good spot. We really enjoyed our time there. Our camp host came by every day to see if we needed anything. The bathrooms were clean. They could use some updating.

The website reported the site had water, but the water did not work/ was turned off. Which was not noted on the website.

Was a good trip, but not without it's annoyances. First, the price was way too high for the off season when water is cutoff and not much to do. We just happened to boom immediately next to another camper. We would have liked to move spots, but couldnt find a way to do it on the website, so we stayed out since we had already set up. This site should be free or discounted in winter.

Great location, tall pines, on the river, quiet, 4x heated bath with shower, love it!

We love camping at the dam site during the summer months! We thought wed give the winter months a go, but the site was not cared for during the winter months.

The campground is only 12 miles from Eureka Springs, has clean and flat camping spots, a fairly clean bath house with warm showers, etc. We appreciated the shelf above the sinks in the restrooms and the heat in the building.
@RobNAA0943898D · Camped on Nov 27, 2024 at Campsite #2
Advertised as 50 amp, water, bathhouse. In reality, it had electric. No water. Bathrooms and showers were locked and closed. Camp site was nice. Area is beautiful. Camp host was a nice guys. Dump site a bit of a joke, No sewer (but advertised as such. )If they dont have water, bathrooms, or showers, they should tell you.

Quite possibly the quietest campground Ive ever stayed in. The campground is in a beautiful setting right next to the river and a short drive to the town of Eureka Springs. The camp host was very attentive and was able to answer questions about the area. It was a bonus that the restrooms and showers were open in November.

Damsite River Campground is one of the few campgrounds that are open year round in Northwest Arkansas. The winter season is from November 1st to March 31st. During this time period the water at the individual campsite is shut off to prevent damage from pipes freezing. There is a potable water source at the park entrance to fill your fresh water tanks not far from the dump station. For the same reason the only restrooms that are open is the shower house in the Pines and the vault toilet by the boat ramp. The volunteers that take care of this campground do an excellent job.

Trash dumpster was overflowing with trash on the ground.Only 2 bathroom/showers were open for 2 loops (37 campsites) and the campground was full over the weekend.
@BillM1281727 · Camped on Nov 21, 2024 at Campsite #31
The sites were not blown off of pine needles the fire rings r discenigating lost power thanksgiving night at 5 oclock we left didnt come back on until 9 oclock then we packed up fri came home.
@SterlingS897AE · Camped on Nov 18, 2024 at Campsite #10
When we arrived, we found the trash container not only overflowing, but scattered for quite a distance. Ugh. The campground is divided into two loops - both have restroom/shower houses, but for some reason only one was open. It would not have been difficult to have one room open in the upper loop for the convenience of those camped near the boat landing.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
