We had beautiful weather! The campground was clean which Im sure had a lot to do with Marshals hard work! Marshal was very sociable, outgoing & informative with answerour questions. We did the Falls hike, the hike around Ckear lake and Blue Pool..all fantastic & must do in this area. I was surprised with a full campground how quiet our surroundings were. We lucked out on finding a great first come first serve site on on a Tuesday as this is a popular area!

The campground is in a very beautiful area- the lake is gorgeous, beautiful mature forest, with nice trails around the lake through interesting lava flows and to nearby spectacular waterfalls on the McKenzie River. The campground was maintained well by Linn County- very clean pit toilets, good operating pump wells for water (with terrific tasting water!) and clean sites. Nice little boat ramp in the day use area. The campground is small and very quiet. It is 1-2 miles from the cabins and lodge at the other end of the lake.Our campsite (#7) was a bit small and cramped, and was quite close to another neighboring site. There were that were others that were very large and private. Worth checking out and reserving early....

Gorgeous site. Nice long, flat driveway. Super shady. Table is on a cement pad which was glorious. Bathrooms were very clean the entire weekend. Noise levels very controlled with everyone shutting down by 10pm every night-always nice when you sleep in a tent:) Water pump is far away and down hill so bring a wagon if your filling large buckets! We had T-Mobile and had service the entire time. The best thing.we saw NO mosquitos. The worst thing.zero beach access to the lake so dont plan to have a lake side day. Ideal for hikes and launching SUPS but not hanging out.

The photos are a bit deceiving. This spot is right out in the open. No privacy but it's next to a road that doesn't get much traffic so it was fine. Most spots in this loop aren't private but the close proximity to the boat launch is great. Campground is clean and the bathrooms aren't too far away. There is no camphost. There is someone who drives around at about 11am but that was the only time we saw someone. You have to drive to the resort if you need wood.

Fantastic campground. Clear Lake is one of those very special places that is well worth the visit.

While a pretty forested campground roads are narrow as well as sites... We hauled a small travel trailer and the site I booked the driveway was backwards to what it should have been. Had to drive around and come in going the wrong way on the road and had to leave the same way. Would have Jack knifed the trailer if we hadn't. Clean vault toilets no showers. While pretty area won't come back

We had a great campsite with a view of the lake. The campsite was clean and it was easy to set up our trailer.We kayaked Clear Lake and in the evenings watched osprey as they tried to capture fish.

Area and Campground environment, excellent as always.

Single pump per camping loop can mean water is a significant walk away. No camp host, no firewood. Bathrooms ran out of toilet paper in the morning but were restocked within a few hours. Dense trees, plenty of privacy.

Site and restrooms were clean. However, trip was cut short due to weather. Clear Lake is a fantasy land that beckons always.

After all these years, I had to give up trying to get into a first come, first served site because ofmy experience last yearso this year I reserved #26 for the first time. I missed not getting to be in #27 or #28 (our favorite first come, first served sites), but #26 has a very long driveway, which was great for our trailer length and two cars, and maybe a third car even?!?! With me being there for two weeks, and family coming and going, and some coming and going again over the two weekends (!) the size of site #26 was great! Two straight days of continuous rain on the first weekend wasnt fun, but we got through it, and of course we enjoy the green it produces! Clear Lake has been part of my familys experience all of my life, as well as my siblings and cousins lives! Our parents brought us here to camp and fish even when we were babies. Now our oldest camper is 93, and still showing up each June! Hopefully, site #26 will be the one we can reserve for next year.Oh, and thanks to the Linn County sergeant, I mean camp host, who made sure we parked correctly, but taught us to always carry a roll of toilet paper to the outhouse! See you next year, Lord willing.

nearly entire shoreline is inaccessible because of vegetation.

Clear Lake is as beautiful as it can get. The water clarity and color is amazing. Great kayaking and trout fishing were a plus. The campground is nice and shaded, with only vault toilets. Fresh potable water is also scarce. But overall a nice location

Fine. Not very flat, long walk to the water.
@JasonH5601399 · Camped on Jun 6, 2025 at Campsite #7
The campsites we reserved were too small for our trailer and truck and the campground itself is two small for anyone with a trailer. It needs to be a tent only campground, or it should specify that large trailers cannot enter the campground.

The pit toilets were the cleanest they have been in all of my many years to visit. There was no host available to talk to however.

FF#20 site 1nt. Pressed up against the wilderness. Very clean & quiet, easy access to vault toilets and bins. As a solo female camper, I felt safe. Ranger drove by multiple times. Easy access to Clear Lake Trail.

Campsite was great - well maintained, quiet, and very pretty. Enjoyed the lava, fall foliage, and blue waters of Clear Lake - both the hike around it and kayaking. Loop trail with Sahalie and Koosah Falls is just 5 minutes down the road!

We had a reservation at Cold Water Cove Campground for Sept. 11, leaving on Sept. 13. Due to a fire in the area, the roads were closed and we were unable to stay at the campground on Clear Lake. We were disappointed that the reservation system did not notify us of the closure in advance...or make any attempt to refund our fees since there was no chance we could stay there.

Great camp area with access to the Clear Lake Trail. Walked bits of it, then went to hike Blue Pool. So access to activities is great. Stopped by on Labor Day, and the grounds were full and busy. Actually camped the week after Labor Day, and it was very quiet and not full. I would camp here again.

Beautiful scenery and nice camp spots! Canoeing and paddle boarding on the lake was fabulous. Spot 21 wasnt on the lake but had awesome views of the lava fields. The trail around the lake wasnt wide enough for our disabled sons 4 wheeled mountain bike but a regular wheel chair may have worked. Definitely would go back!

Lovely spot. Saw almost no trash anywhere. Bathrooms were very clean for pit toilets.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
