The camp hosts were excellent. They were very friendly, yet ran a very orderly campground operation. Everything was clean, no litter to be found. They regularly patrolled the campground to ensure that the toilets were clean and supplied, always with a cheery wave as they passed by our site. The only thing that was a little "off" was how many reserved sites went empty for so many days. Meanwhile, there were plenty of potential campers who rolled through the campground looking for a site. Something is broken in the reservation system. People who fail to show up for their reservations should lose them after 24 hours. How hard is it to go online and amend one's reservation to pare it back to the actual days one intends to be in camp?

Campsites are very spacious and secluded with beautiful views of Clear Lake. Very close to Koosah and Sahalie Falls, and the Blue Pool (5-10 min drive). My only suggestion is to definitely bring a flashlight as bathrooms (vault toilets) do not have lighting.

This is an excellent campground on Clear Lake. Site #17 was a double site (unbeknownst to us, and bigger than what we needed), and has a good view of the lake. There is accessibility to the lake, but it's down a steep lava rock path. You may be able to navigate a paddle board through it, but it almost killed us to schlep 2 55lb kayaks down and back. The boat ramp is a distance, so unless you have carts for board/kayak, or want to drive around, it's not the easiest water access. It gave us a good story, however, and luckily no major injuries :)

Was a bit windy so a hard paddle and the water was not as clear, but still awesome overall. GREAT view of Neowise once the sun actually went down (midnight?!).
