Site 12 is beautiful. Tall pine trees all around, some sunshine, alot of shade. Great view of the lake thru the trees. Walk down to the water to launch your kayak just below the campsite. The site is not all that private. Site 11 is right there next to you.BUT, CAMPER BEWARE! This site is very sloped side to side (slopes towards the lake) and a large part of the asphalt driveway is GONE/damaged. Leveling your trailer or RV will be tricky.

Beautiful. Sites are mostly pretty steep and hard to level so bring lotsa blocks, but beautiful.

The nicest toilet paper I’ve had in the outdoors! The camp hosts were super nice. Site 16 had a nice trail to the water.
Campground and lake is great, but the allowable RV lengths and driveway lengths are way off on some sites due to curbs in the driveway and/or broken down asphalt.

First time camping at Coldwater Cove and enjoyed our experience. Setting and scenery is absolutely lovely- lots of activities in and around the campground. We were in the 'A' loop. We arrived on Sunday afternoon on a very hot day. Understandably there was a lot(a lot!) of day-use-cars parked everywhere, dumpsters overflowing, bathrooms need cleaning, etc. It appeared that the campground needed much more support given the use-at least on a hot summer weekend. During the week, crowds were reasonable and while the campground was full, was generally quiet and peaceful. Bathrooms clean/dumpsters emptied, etc. Having never been to the campground before and getting a somewhat late reservation, it seemed like most of the 'preferred' or already reserved campsites were in loop B and therefore I selected a site in Loop A. I am glad we were in Loop A as it was away from the day use area. If you are looking for something quieter, perhaps stay in this loop. One thing to note is at least for the camp site we selected (12) the asphalt pad length seemed to be shorter than advertised on the recreation website. It was ok for us given we had a truck camper and extra vehicle- we were able to fit on the pad without being in the road. Also while I wasn't expecting a perfectly level pad, the pad was quite uneven so bring a lot of leveling materials.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
