Camp Host was exceptionally nice and helpful!

Good location (just outside of Yosemite south entrance, overall quiet (a few kids a bit loud after 10pm) and very clean. Hosts were super friendly and helpful. The only downside is that it its almost an hour drive from the valley so had to get up earlier but we were aware of it. After seeing how chaotic and packed the valley campgrounds were, I highly recommend it if you dont mind that long but beautiful drive to the valley.

We stayed at SD 14 and it was super nice and clean. Super spacious and close to the bathroom. The camp host Jim and Holly were so nice and welcoming. They checked on us several times to make sure we had everything.

Such a lovely campground! Perfectly secluded, quiet, and beautiful. Good sized camp sites and a lovely river that runs behind it. The hosts are very courteous and friendly as well. Highly recommend!

The campground is just outside the entrance to Yosemite and the Mariposa Grove area. Its well maintained, clean and quiet. There are pit toilets, which were very clean throughout our 3-night stay. The campground hosts were wonderful. They were present and quite helpful. They came around each evening to see how we were doing and to deliver firewood that was for sale. Overall, a wonderful stay.

Our time at Summerdale was great! The site itself was a well kept and great area. Vault restrooms were very well kept. To top off such a great weekend, the camp hosts were so good at what they did! If they host again next year consider us booked!

The camp hosts Jim and Holly Kelley made for an excellent visit. They were personable and professional, and made an already good campground better. The location near the South Entrance of Yosemite makes it easier to get in early to beat the crowds. Expect an hour drive to Yosemite Village, but only few to Mariposa Grove.

The bathrooms were super clean, obviously a bit stinky at times, but cant be helped. The actual grounds were beautiful and we got to hammock between the trees. They also allow for extra vehicles for a fee!

We had a wonderful stay at this campsite, as we have for many prior years. Thankfully, the upkeep of the site has not (yet) been impacted by the unrest and personnel cuts that have upended the US Forest Service. The hosts were very gracious and attentive, having allowed us to arrive a day late over Memorial Day holiday, and not give away our spot to other willing travelers. Bathrooms were clean and toilet paper was provided, and frankly, what more could one ask for?

Nice campground, nearby a creek with trouds, close to Yosemite, clean rest rooms, Jim and Holly kindest hosts ever ... :-)

It was a great site! Plenty of space, right next to the creek, path to restroom, and water right next to the site. The host Jim and his wife were very helpful and friendly! Appreciated the extra effort and care they put in!

Really good spot for getting to yosemite early. We had fun splashing in the small creek nearby, the site was shaded and moderately sized. Only downside was the mosquitoes later on

This is the perfect spot if you cant get reservations inside of Yosemite. Its about 5 minutes from the Wawona entrance. While there are only vault toilets, the bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. There is potable water as well. The camp host said it comes from a well that is tested every two weeks. Its a small, quiet campground perfect for resting up before a big hike.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
