This campground was lovely, our site had a path to the creek behind it and neighboring campers were very nice.

I have going to Summerdale for more than 60 years. Please fix the road in front of the bathroom. I have been asking for this for years but you just dont seem to listen. This is a SAFETY hazard as several of us have knee transplants and are older. A fall for us could mean serious trouble. Actually the safety of all your campers should be a top priority for you!!! Please hook up a solar light inside your outhouses. Again for the safety of your campers! One more question, what happened to the stream? It gets lower every year and not because of lack of rain. The hosts are wonderful please invite them back. The outhouses were sparkling clean.

Summerdale is a lovely campground with a healthy stream flowing through it. It's also a nice small campground, so it is quiet. You might occasionally hear a big truck or loud motorcycle passing by on Highway 41, but for the most part it is very quiet. The current camp hosts (Jim and Holly) were some of the nicest (and funniest) camp hosts that I have come across, and I do a lot of camping. Thanks for making our stay fun and relaxing.

Larry is a great camp host. Very friendly and he keeps the bathrooms and the whole campground very clean.

Summerdale was a nice, small campground with easy access to Yosemite (only a couple of miles from the south entrance). When we visited in July 2023, the camp hosts were excellent - present and active but not overbearing, diligent about the bathroom cleaning schedule, and friendly. It was a great family atmosphere during the day with a lovely creek to play in, and quiet at night. We would recommend this as an excellent alternative to camping with the crowds in Yosemite valley.

Host was very good! Bathroom was always clean and fully stocked with toilet paper. Please fix the asphalt road around the campground and in the sites. This has been in need of repairs for years. The only other problem were the large trash bins. They were not emptied in a timely manner. The host tried his best to remedy the situation but really it wasn’t his job. I have been camping here for 50 plus years! The best host ever!!!

We had a wonderful time and found the Camp Host, Larry to be the best in years! The camp was quiet, restrooms clean and he was available with a smile, to take care of any problems and check us in. He made it as convenient as possible for all.
Thank you for a great camping experience! See you next year. The Keislers.

Summerdale camp ground is one of our favorite camping spots and has been for the last 50 years. But not this year, the host made it very difficult to enjoy it. The bathrooms were cleaned three times in ten days, toilet paper was restocked in the mornings after about 9:00 am even when they had been out since the night before. One morning I had to wake her up about 10:00 am to request that she could put toilet paper in because all of the bathrooms were out, she said she would get to it in awhile , that is unacceptable. And the new rule about checkin times, no one checks in before 2::00 pm. She had people parked up the road for sometimes up an hour while she set there with the I’m in charge look. It would also be nice if maybe solar lights would be installed in tha bathrooms.

My new favorite campground!! Small, intimate in setting as the campsites are spaced comfortably apart. Vault toilets but cleaned several times a day due to the current Covid 19. No huge glampers allowed and that's ok with us. We barely fit our tent trailer pop up in sp. 26 along with our small truck but what a spot on the creek there! Just an absolutely perfect setting amidst the cedars, pine and poplar. And our camphost Kathy was the best! Super helpful and attentive to all the camper's needs. Unfortunately due to Covid, we were not aware of the Yosemite limit on visitors, though we were only 2mi from the entrance, we couldn't get in. So, we went into Bass Lake, a short 12mi. away and shopped the quaint country shops and got excellent Mex food to take back to camp! Can't wait to start planning next summer's trip there.
