We have loved camping at Summerdale Campground over the years. It was a quiet time towards the end of August. Creek was lower than July but still able to enjoy it. I was disappointed to see permanent paint on the rocks between sites 28 & 27. These are NOT the small rocks people paint. Please remove the graffiti as this will encourage others to continue the same. Too many folks speeding through during evening hours. Keep the littles close. I was also surprised to see a homemade sign NAILED to a tree in front of the hosts site. No nails in the trees, please.

We have been camping at Summerdale campground for the past 40 years! This year was no exception as to the amount of fun and enjoyment we had at this wonderful campground. The host, Larry, was very accommodating and kept the two restrooms, very clean. He even offered to deliver firewood to our campsite if needed, the tradition started with my wife and myself, and our two children, and now has extended to another generation, and I’m sure beyond that in the future.

We would definitely stay here again if headed to Yosemite as it is only 1.5 miles from the south entrance. The host was very nice and the bathrooms were quite clean for pit toilets. The river on the way in was flowing from the snowpack and was lovely.

Camp host Todd was great! He was very friendly and helpful. Campsite location was perfect for getting to Yosemite, bass lake or any other hikes in the area. Campsites were spaced out well and it was nice to hear the creek from my campsite. Vault toilets were some of the best kept I’ve seen! Definitely one of my best camping experiences.
