We camped here the night before hiking up Half Dome. We were in campsite 057C and had plenty of trees for hammocking. The campsite is in the middle of other sites and towards 9pm it got loud and bright from other cars coming in (especially from one RV family who were very loud trying to park the van). Once everyone settled, you could hear the river. I would definitely recommend getting a campsite along the river as they were farther removed from the noise. The bathrooms have running water and were clean. Overall, wed definitely stay here again but would probably look for a site farther away from others.

About a 1 Hour drive from the Valley, but a quiet alternative. Very close to Mariposa Grove. Not as uniform campsites as Upper Pines (in Valley).

Our campsite was ok. The bathrooms were nonsense. The stalls seemed to be transferred from an elementary school. They have no locks and they're about 5' high, so anyone can pick from above to see what're doing. Interesting... The faucets only run as long as you keep the handle tilted, so basically, they're useless. And of course, no showers at this campground.

Great spot next to the creek, clean campground and lots of room between sites. Relatively quiet as well. Would recommend fo sho

Nice camp ground with flush toilets. Right near a beautiful stream, unfortunately it was very dry dusty and very warm in the afternoon. Our site was close to the road so there was a lot of noise. Recommend getting a site in the back part of the campground. The campground could have been better marked for site numbers sort of confusing

I enjoy going camping in that location because the weather is ideal for relaxation. One of the highlights of the experience is that the restrooms are consistently clean and comfortable, making the stay even more enjoyable.

Wonderful family friendly and peaceful campground. The Merced river is gorgeous and you can float and swim in it right below your campsite if you get a spot on the river. Highly recommend it!

Beautiful area and campground, however my friend and I had trouble getting the YARTS from Yosemite Village to Wawona campground as we didnt bring a car. I think it would be helpful for other visitors to know that bringing their own vehicle is recommended for camping in Wawona. It would also have been really helpful if the Wawona bus stopped at the campground as well as the shop. Otherwise great services love the parks!!

This is a great site I would book again. The slope of this site is actually very helpful if it starts to rain, as it did on my visit. I like that it backs up to the open hillside. I was a little wary of the hollowed out fallen tree at the back of the campsite and the wildlife trail beside it! The restroom is just down a small hill and was very clean. It even had soap which was greatly appreciated. Sites 90 and 92 are very close by and sometimes the noise level is louder than I would like. The only reason this is four stars is that there are no showers at this campground loop C.

Loved the location of this campground. It was great to be a little bit further away from the crowds in the valley and being able to swim in the creek was an extra bonus.

This was the worst camping experience ever. A family booked three sites (60, 62, and 63) and treated ours like their personal hallway, constantly cutting through and shouting across from one side to the other. Zero privacy, nonstop disturbance. On top of that, this site has the water tap, so random people kept coming over to wash. Absolutely unacceptable and not worth it.

The site is next to the creek provides excellent access for the kids to play and bath. Rest room was clean, but no light. You will have to bring your own flash light as camping. The only down side is that it's far from the village center.

Really enjoyed our stay , me and my 2 sons , 8 & 11 yrs old . Clean bathrooms . The site is adjacent to the river . Not crowded or loud .

Good location, near the Mariposa Grove and other sequoias trees. There is a nice river next to the campground where you can go swimming. Nice experience on general :)

Site #34 was very clean. Table was a little lopsided. Only on men's toilet in the B loop working. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Rangers were nice and helpful at check in. We did the yosemite shuffle and had no issues in the process of switching sites. Found a nice secluded spot by the river and hung out nearly all day. Site 85 was a bit slanted but lots of tree coverage for shade/hammocks. 92 was a bit bigger and more flat but only 2 trees so lots of sun and heat. Didn't really matter though, the river is right across the way! Bathrooms were cleaned daily and always stocked. Can't wait to be back!

Lovely camp ground! All of the amenities are clean and functional. A big plus is the stream to cool off in the summer months.

Good site.

An absolutely amazing campsite by the river. You couldnt get a better view and we swam in the river every day. Toilets could do with a bit more upkeep eg soap in the bathroom but generally ok. Would definitely go back.

Had flush toilets, spacious campground, and great river access. Would stay here again.

Wawona campground was amazing! We loved how it was close enough to see all the sights but still be on our own little secluded campground. The bear boxes had plentyyyyy of space which was great!

Loved being next to the river. My site (B31) wasn't very roof top tent friendly, but no problem if you have levelers if you're planning to car/RV camp. The site and campgrounds themselves are awesome. Say hi to your neighbors :)
@RYANB8651630 · Camped on Jul 29, 2025 at Campsite #15
The campsite was nice, with a fire pit and a picnic table, although our site was not completely level. There were no showers on the camping. The restrooms were not so clean. Good location, about a 10 min drive to the mariposa grove, and 40 min to the Yosemite Valley. We saw some shooting stars aswell.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
