Our site was right on the Merced river - cold to swim in, but beautiful. The campground has clean bathrooms with sinks and flush toilets. There are also a few water spigots around the campground. There is a nearby dump station with water fill-up if you have a camper/trailer. Staff are friendly and helpful. This campground is about an hour's drive from the valley. It is a scenic drive, but windy - take it slow if you are prone to motion sickness.

Nice, relatively small campground next to a river. Clean bathrooms.

3 nights in 3 different spots, they each got better. It was nice to be in front of the creek.

There was some bathing in the creek.........

No water or electric or dump station

So the campground bathrooms were closed and there wasn't any potable water, all due to renovations taking longer than expected. You had to drive about a mile up the road to get water and dump. Not that big of a deal, but usable bathrooms would make this an even better experience (again, we knew this ahead of time so we were prepared). We were warned via email multiple times that only self-contained rigs were allowed, and if you showed up with anything else it would be canceled and you would be turned away.
First, rangers arrive at 8am and leave promptly at 5pm.
All of this is noted because at roughly 5:30pm and well into the night, everyday, camper vans and small rigs (neither have bathrooms onboard) would roll into camp and find an open spot. They'd be up and gone by 7am. This happened every single night. I have no idea how these people knew the ranger schedule, but they did.

Our site, 74, was awesome. It was literally right on the river. It's a parallel site, not back-in, which is slightly unusual. In any event, we had a 28ft travel trailer with a bike rack on the back and a hitch... which made it more like 35 feet... plus our truck and we fit with about an inch to spare. Perfect.
Other than mosquitos, we loved absolutely everything about the site. Lots of space, trees and shade. It's drive to the valley, but worth being away from so many people.
We camp in Yosemite often and wouldn't mind camping here again.
