Nice campground, well-kept and clean. Composting toilets were some of the cleanest Ive seen. We were in Site 9, which is a handicapped site with an electric hookup. As the description indicates, it has 50A electric, but no 30A, so bring an adapter if needed. No water hookup at site 9, but spigots are available near the toilet buildings. Some sites are well-shaded by ponderosa and juniper trees. The small campground loop is great for walking, and trails into the forest leave from the campground. We hiked the Granite Mountain Trail, 12 miles round-trip from the campground. It was strenuous for miles 4-8, but offered incredible views from the top.

The camp hosts Mark and Judy were both totally awesome. I had some really good conversations with them and feel like I made new friends. The campground is well taken care of and honestly, the restrooms were extremely nice. I can't wait to go back.

We were camping with our kids, trying to enjoy a peaceful weekend in nature, but instead were woken up at 3 AM by the camp host yelling at the top of their lungs for everyone to shut the f*** up. It was so loud and sudden that it scared me awake and terrified my children. Completely unprofessional and totally inappropriate behavior, especially from someone in a position of authority. I understand managing noise can be tough, but there are far better ways to handle it than screaming profanities across the campground in the middle of the night.We wont be coming back, and I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone, especially families with kids.

My family and I stayed at site 1 and enjoyed our stay. Things to keep in mind, the site is long and narrow. If your are filling air mattresses for example, you may need to make sure you have a long extension cord, our 25 ft. one was not long enough to go from the car to the tent pad area. We also had a large netted Coleman gazebo, which did fit, but would block our way to the tent. All lessons all learned! The site had a beautiful view of the mountain. My husband and I enjoyed watching a bat fly around at dusk catching bugs. Really quite and peaceful. Bathrooms were kept really clean and it was nice having access to water.

Beautiful park tucked in with trees and boulders. Quiet, clean and 10 miles from our home.

Site 1 was quieter than I expected. The large boulders blocked site 21 generator noise. Not a lot of shade in the morning hours but later in the day the one pine tree provides adequate shade. My rig set up is 13ft trailer with standard SUV, and it fit nicely in the site. Site 1 might be a challenge for anything over 16ft.

I purchased online a 2-night pass for a designated campsite. However, the campsite I really wanted was first come, first serve. Sure enough, when I got there, the campsite I wanted was available. So, I asked the host if we could switch the prepaid campsite for the first come first serve site. The answer was "no." I had to cancel the original prepaid 2-nights, which I did not even get a $8 refund as mentioned on the rec.gov website because there was a "system error." Furthermore, I needed to rush to pay now cash for the new campsite I selected since it was first come first serve. In hindsight, I spent $72 + online fees for 2-nights of camping, and no help from a ranger or a host. Let's just say, I'll stick to dispersed camping before using the rec.gov website for future bookings.

Still my favorite recreation.gov campground!Friendly hosts. Nice clean facilities. Tasty water! And trash removal.The sites are spread out better than most place. You still get some privacy. Some sites are very shady. Some are not.And it's very close to town.I will continue to camp here and recommend the place!

Campsites are too close together for me with not a lot of privacy on several sites. Not a lot of shade, so wouldn't stay there during the summer. The restrooms are clean. They do have nice trails right from the campground which is probably the best feature of the campground.

Nice quiet campground close to many trails. Although only pit toilets where provided the composting toilets were clean and relatively oderless. We plan on returning.

A must do is trail 349 that will take you from the campsite to the granite basin recreational area. Trail 350 is a better option to return to the campground.

The squatters here are bold and a problem. The first night we arrived at 800pm and had to wait to get the camp host to get them to break down their. tents and run them out of our campsite which delayed us from setting up camp well into the late evening. The next night we returned back to our campsite after a days outing and found yet another squatter with his vehicle in the sight and his tent pitched in front of our tent with was already there. Took again over and hour to get them out of there including police because the had been inside our tent.

Nice campground near hiking trails and massive granite boulders. It is so quiet here that it is hard to believe it is so close to town. The campground was amazingly clean and well maintained. We especially liked the composting vault toilets. There was absolutely no smell. We're hoping this will quickly become a feature in more campgrounds.The only negatives with this site was that the level ground was limited so we had trouble putting 3 chairs around the firepit and the location of the tent pad blocked our view of the mountains from the table and fire pit area.

One of my favorite campsites. Pay for this double site but use as a single and you will love it! Room to roam and the view is beautiful! We'll be back.

Campsite& facilities clean and in good working order. Despite the foliage surrounding the campground dying due to long term drought conditions, The US Forest Service is doing a great job clearing out the dead brush.

This Campground is nice whit beautiful views. The only problem was the noise made by the generators all aroud from 8:30 am until 9:30 pm. This cut the feeling that you are in the nature.

I enjoyed the peaceful space and high desert views. Sunrises were lovely and the weather in mid-October was great, neither too hot in the day or cold at night. It was conveniently close to the town of Prescott without seeming so. I had the opportunity to do a couple hours of hiking and enjoyed the trails right off the campgrounds. There were more options in that regard if i'd had more time for hiking. I would be happy to visit again.

During the two nights mid-week that we camped here it was very quiet. We were the only ones tent camping, and several sites were empty both nights. The sites are spacious and there is a lot of space between them so they felt very private. This campground is close to an excellent mountain bike trail system, and not far from downtown, although we felt like we were in a remote location. I have camped here many times before and it is always a pleasant stay. Compost toilets were clean as well.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
