Alto Pit Ohv Campground is located in the Bradshaw Ranger District, Prescott National Forest (just 18 min west of Prescott, AZ) with an elevation of 6,075 feet. There are a total of 11 campsites. The campground is open all year. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 25 and 38 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Fees range from $14.00 to $28.00. Activities include ohv trails nearby.

Really nice campground and fun OHV trails. However, a big number of the trails should be one way. Having them be two way is inviting an accident. The trails are just too tight with lots of curves and vegitation to hear or see an opposite direction dirt bike. For that reason, I probably won't return.

Clean, well maintained campground. Easy check in. Internal roads are dirt with large ruts and potholes in several areas. Generally level sites, each with a fire ring / grill and picnic table. Sites are adequately spaced for privacy. Great proximity to all Prescott area amenities. We will stay here again should we return in the future.

The campsite was great! The only downside was the very large potholes in the dirt road need to be filled in sooner rather than later.

Very nice campground. I especially appreciated the way it is laid out, with all the sites separated and a bit blocked, one from another. The Moto trails were good to hike with my dog.

Noisy. If you like the noise of ATVs and dirt bikes this is the place for you.

Nice forest setting. Sites well situated away from each other, but not very level. Fun place for dirt bikes. I found the maximum RV/trailer length very confusing, pay attention to the driveway length because I think you can add the RV and trailer maximums together for site fit. Never seen that before.

Alto Pit is a small, but great stay for boondocking. It is level, clean and very accessible. There are beautiful lakes that we visited last year while we stayed there for a few days. This year was just an overnight. I would recommend this camp.

Ive stayed here twice now and both times Ive been pleasantly impressed by how clean and comfortable this campsite is. The large fire pits and beautiful scenery were my favorite.

I attempted to stay overnight but had to leave because of nonstop barking dogs. I have never experienced such disruption at any campground, especially at this campsite, and I am very disappointed.

The trash dumpster was locked closed, so everyone was piling trash around it, and animals and wind was spreading it everywhere. Don't know where the camp host was (never saw them), or why they weren't tending to this issue. I spent a lot of time cleaning trash from our campsite. Much of the campground is next to a busy road, so lots of road noise. We were camped during the week, so not many campers, and not much in the way of motorcycles / OHV noise, so that was good.

This place is incredible! Tall trees and huge boulders. Stunning location. Close to the action but tucked away. Campsite 2 had a couple sandy clearings that could easily fit both an RV and tent. Toilets were not great, but we didnt care. Bring exact change if youre paying on site.

The campground owner died just before we arrived. The locals figured out that there was no one there to manage it and so between the scketchy homeless squaters roaming around and the midnight arrivals with giant trucks with loud pipes we barely got any sleep. We had to break down camp every time we left because we were affraid for our stuffs saftey with the homeless squaters

Great camping area. Close to town, Walmart, etc. If youre looking for deep wilderness camping this is not the place. But its a nice campground that is very well maintained.
