Grumpy camp host- misread a sign and she was pretty indignant about it. Wasnt bothering her off duty; just asked a question. Otherwise campsite was good

We love this campground and specifically this campsite. We had another great stay. It seems like each time we go, it is a little different experience as the camp host changes but overall, for what we go for, you cant beat it. Close to town, in the pines, lots of space in this particular site, close to trails, etc.

Every other site was at least 25 percent bigger. We had no place to put our car and most campsites had a drive way. The bench that was provided was an old and splintery bench. The grill ring that was provided was significantly smaller than all the rest. It was very clear that this campsite was just quickly thrown together to just have an extra space. Please pick any other spot

Sites are close to each other so theres not much privacy. Theres not a lot of wiggle room to park the 28 trailer, nor is the area big enough to open an outdoor area rug by the trailer. If you want to sprawl out you must do it in the elevated area. Theres an extra flat pad next to the grill/table area which can be used for a tent, etc. Maybe another spot would have been better. Camp host was nice and helpful. Town is close by. No dump station or water fill for camper/trailer at the campground. Theres a family of deer that wander the campgrounds. Overall 3 out of 5 stars

I was camped for one night in space number two. The space was left extremely clean even the fire pit was cleaned out. I had very nice neighbors not very much cell signal just a bar or two but enough to make a call. I cant get over how much better kept this campground is than when I stayed here a couple of years ago. The Camp Host was just the nicest lady so unique keeping a really good handle on the campground. I am hoping someday that youll be able to open up the back section that seems to be closed every time I come there are some really beautiful campsites out there.

Great sites, they could use more FF sites though.

The campground was extremely nice for sites without water (although there are lots of spouts spread throughout for filling drinking water) or electric. Restrooms were well kept, sites were clean and ready. We are Mountain Bikers and were camping there to access trails on the Prescott Circle (have done that before) and were pleasantly surprised to find the completed Beans Peak Gravity Trails system right there at the parking lot. On the negative side though, we had Mountain Bike neighbors come Sunday afternoon with more vehicles than their site allowed, who kept driving around recklessly, blaring music, and generally disturbing the peace. We were wondering if it was going to continue and we would need to report it, but the camp host was very attentive and it ended up they were gone soon, not staying overnight. Maybe they just came to ride and have a campfire. PSA - Prescott is a very dry forested area, you will always need to be careful with fire. Enjoy!

Really enjoyed our experience and our site. Bathrooms should be cleaner. It didnt look like anybody worked them while we were there.

I'm 65 and this is still my favorite state park. Beautiful. Always clean.

Beautiful dry camping (though water is available) smaller campground set in the pines just south of Prescott, AZ. Spots are spacious, and well spread apart from other campers. Most are with a paved pad of some sort, though not all are level, so you will need your leveling blocks and/or automatic levelers in many instances. Pit toilets kept clean, though could be better kept up with toilet supplies. Water is available, but 2 of the 3 of the pumps I tried were broken and the at the last one water would not come out, despite it leaking all over the ground nearby). The host was great - very helpful when we needed to change our spot at the last minute because of my error with choosing a spot to reserve when doing so online - I didn't match up the pictures with the site I chose - my fault. The CG is very close to Prescott - taking a right turn on the highway upon leaving the CG leads north into the city and takes you directly into the heart of downtown within 3--5 minutes. Great hiking and mountain biking trails right out of the campground.

Nice campsite. Love it's so close to Prescott yet it feels remote.

Great camping site located close to mountain biking and hiking trails. Area was quiet and well kept. Would definitely recommend go back.

The campground is in an excellent location and was surprisingly quiet when we were there - of course it was mid-week, the wind was howling, it rained all night and snow was predicted for the next day, so we left. A herd of deer meandered through our camp in the morning and that was lovely. I only have a couple complaints. It looked as though the firepit hadn't had the ashes cleaned out of it ever. And the outhouses were in need of some TLC (but there was TP, so yea!).We're going back next week in better weather so I'll see if I want to upgrade my review after that.

Roomy campground amongst the trees, depending in the spot, can feel private. Close to town.

Nice campground. Close to the highway but not so close its annoying. Bathrooms are pit toilets but still clean and usable.

Our spot got given away then the guy got in our face and we were the ones accused of being mean when we weren't, the guy kept going thru the campground the whole time flipping is off because the camp host had to talk lies and bad about us, but I'm going to report this to a higher up authority you don't treat certain people u only like a certain way, and your not allowed to take cash from certain people either and be mean to others and tell them it's online ONLY! It's all online for EVERYONE not for some! And you can't even camp at ponderosa cause everyone makes sure they live there so

Nice campsite and lots of trails to hike (although youll have to find your own maps). Restrooms were decent enough - not much ventilation though. Overall, a good place to camp and well be back.

We enjoyed our stay. Neighbors were a bit noisy till midnight. Keep in mind toilets are outhouses and no electricity in camp sites but sites are spacious and beautiful among tall trees.

We've stayed at White Spar a few times now and have always had a good experience, would definitely recommend. This trip we saw a herd of deer a few different times and some other wildlife.

Very spacious site. Good access for sizeable rigs. It would be nice if the bathrooms had access to a drinking water spigot.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
