The online pictures for the reserved sites are completely wrong. We booked site -44 that didnt have the usual picnic table, was way too small to park a car or put up big tent. The camp host was very rude and was giving various reasons of why the site is out of order. They were also complaining about how much work it is to clean the sites after use. We ended up booking another site with no option of refunding the original site. Unless you live in the vicinity, I would highly recommend NOT booking this campsite.

The campground felt much smaller than what was advertised on the website, and the sites were packed too close together. One of our sites was also left in bad shape, full of debris from a recent rain. We pointed it out, but no one came to clean it. In the end, we had to clear it ourselves just to set up our tent. These campsites are also right next to a neighborhood, so you get a fair bit of road noise.

Love this camp ground- clean and easy access to the MTB park.

Everything was good, some of the vegetation. Needs to be trimmed back for access through the roads in our campsite. Number 27, we couldn't put a bonfire because the tree was hanging over the place where you would put if you're fire at. looks like some of the homeless people stay there. They're dropped off my vehicles, campsite across from 27, there must have been 6 cars there on the night we were there. It was hard to get through. I believe you're only allowed one at the most 2 cars.

It rained most of the time, but the weather can't be controlled. I absolutely loved the sound of all the frogs coming out after the rain. The thunder and lightning was actually fun. I camped around mid August. I did not see one mosquito. Lots of ants on my tent, but they aren't bothersome. The camp ground was pretty quiet this time around. Be sure to see photos when choosing your site. I didn't like 36 too much because the ground wasn't level enough for my tent. The pricing is worth it. I hated the toilets. So many flys in the toilet. All around, it was camping so I just had fun in general relaxing. The rain was a nice plus for me to listen to.

On a map this campsite looks very close to the city of Prescott and while it very close the campsite doesn't feel it. It was honestly a great location for me to camp at night and also enjoy the hiking trails and downtown of Prescott. Camp Host was nice.

I would not stay here again. Someone ran their generator until close to 1 am, and the host did nothing. People walked continuously through my camp while I was sleeping, I assume to find short cuts to their camp, or to find the extremely loud party that went close to 4 am in the morningagain the host did nothing (never even seen the host when I was there). If you are planning on getting sleep before your next long drive or activity, I would avoid this place.

This is the second time I have been there and was very pleased. The campgrounds were clean and the camp host, unlike the last time I was there was extremely friendly knowledgeable and made us aware of any issues in the park. There were Javelina - traveled through the night but as long as you put your stuff away, youre good - thats just being a due diligent camper. I will definitely go back and recommend to fellow campers.

This is a beautiful and well maintained campground. Camp host is lovely. Caution to reserving campsite through website. They will not let you move under any circumstance. I will never use recreation.gov again

While I understand rustic outhouse-style bathrooms will have a smell, the toilet areas seemed to have a much worse smell than others we've used while camping. This campground served its purpose, though - it's right next to the Bean Peaks mountain bike park, which was fantastic. Good for a cheap place to sleep when going mountain biking.

The campground was cleaner & more organized than I've ever seen it!! The gal taking care of things was on top of everything and very pro-active. I've been camping there for several years, and actually made it a point to stop & tell her what a great job she was doing & how great the placed looked. 5 stars for sure!!

The lovely person next to me ran a generator CONSTANTLY. Go to a trailer park if you want to run those rattle traps. STOP ruining real camping for everyone else!

Host allowed side by sides, ohv in the campground website specifically says they are prohibited. She also left the northern gate open so they could come and go without accessing the host entrance.

The host was kind and helpful!And the side was clean and nice! Not as private as expected but still far away from the next sides.Unfortunately this side is very close to the restrooms and whenever the wind blowed in our direction we smelled it. But fortunately that didnt happen too often.Plus, there were a lot of flies in the restroom. I guess its hard to avoid that in summer...Some germicide in the restrooms would be great.Moreover, the road is pretty close. It wasnt too annoying for us but one can hear it.All in all we liked the place and felt well. It was quite and the nature around was nice.
@LeifRCD3A65B71 · Camped on Jun 27, 2025
There was no indication from the recreation.gov web site that we needed to park on the side of the road vs. by the campsite. I was able to find a first come first serve spot that was much better. I tried to cancel my reservation online. It said I was eligible to get $26 back, but every time I tried to submit the cancellation it showed an error. My 3 nights of camping ended up costing me $116. Aside from that, the lady working the camp site was very nice and courteous. Campground facilities were in good order. Great campsite for mountain biking as there are 3 trailheads at the entrance to the campgrounds. All three are great trails. Bean Peak should serve as a role model for other cities trying to attract mountain bikers of varying skill levels. Another trail takes you to Goldwater lakes and was very fun. Across 89 is the other trail which for me was an out and back, 5 miles each way.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
