We love this campground and specifically this campsite. We had another great stay. It seems like each time we go, it is a little different experience as the camp host changes but overall, for what we go for, you cant beat it. Close to town, in the pines, lots of space in this particular site, close to trails, etc.

Love White Spar! We are tent campers so there are limited spots that work for tents but the spots that do are great. The camp host was very helpful. A guest previous to us had dumped some ash and bbq briquettes over in some dried pine needles near the base of a tree (HUGE MISTAKE) but luckily they did not burn. other than that the campsite was super clean. We only discovered the huge fire hazard because we walked 10 into the trees in our camp area (which was far from any other site). So its understandable why the host wouldve missed it when checking the site for the next campers.

site #8 is not at all flat, we moved to site #12. There was no campground host to talk to, and recreation.gov could provide no help they defer to the on site staff (nonexistant). Nice good sized sites, some in the sun, some in the tree, close to town and very close to the new Beans bike flow park. But still quiet.

Avoid site 12 if its slippery or snowing. Driveway is at a steep slope.

White Spar Campground has been our favorite camping are for 35 years. Unfortunately, for the past two years site maintenance is lacking. Fire pits aren't cleaned out between campers and if any trash is left behind it isn't picked up. Hopefully that issue can be resolved. Otherwise, it's a wonderful location with multiple hiking/biking trails accessible from the campground.

Jeff and Kim are great hosts. I have stayed there multiple times. Great family. Clean bathrooms and clean grounds. I would live there if needed. Dr. John from San Diego.

Most trips this is a wonderful location in the woods. We come here multiple times a year usually love it.

This a clean, well laid out campground. The pit toilets were pretty awful and the water spigots were turned off for the winter. There also is quite a lot of traffic noise if you're tent camping like we were. It is close to town for stores, restaurants and bars so it's not really much of a 'back to nature' campground. There was no camp host but luckily there were no issues to worry about. There are homeless people in town but they never approached the campground. I felt safe leaving our gear at the site while we were away.

White Spar is just south of Prescott, but you feel like you’re in a mountain forest. Most of the sites are not level, but it doesn’t take much to get your trailer/motor home level. Only real negative is you can here the road noise. We will stay there in the future. Making reservations is easy. We stayed twice in two different spaces.

This campground is convenient to a variety of hiking, biking and off-road vehicle trails. It's also convenient to downtown Prescott.

Very pleasant campsite where the neighbors are not too close if you pick your spot. Hosts are friendly. The Safeway is about a mile down the road and ok. Hiking trails right there which is very handy.

Beautiful site among tall trees close to trails and town.

We stayed at sites 8 & 10. Nice private section of the park. Very pretty. Plenty of trees all around. Nice sized sites and plenty of coyotes at night to sing for us.

The campground is located just far enough south of Prescott to be peaceful and quiet, and our site (#8) was very private and well situated in the back of the campground itself. It is a very well maintained campground, with many hiking trails close by. Not much road noise the weekend after Christmas, and not many other campers. There was no camp host during our stay, so no one to enforce the rules - i.e., the one campsite across from us playing music too loud and running a generator all night. That's the risk of staying in a campground. We would stay here again.
