Campsite& facilities clean and in good working order. Despite the foliage surrounding the campground dying due to long term drought conditions, The US Forest Service is doing a great job clearing out the dead brush.

I enjoyed the peaceful space and high desert views. Sunrises were lovely and the weather in mid-October was great, neither too hot in the day or cold at night. It was conveniently close to the town of Prescott without seeming so. I had the opportunity to do a couple hours of hiking and enjoyed the trails right off the campgrounds. There were more options in that regard if i'd had more time for hiking. I would be happy to visit again.

Pros: Clean bathrooms, beautiful weather and scenery. Cons: Small campgrounds

This is a clean, quiet campground with many spacious sites. Its over 20 miles from South Rim Village so if youre looking for restaurants and gift shops, stay at Mather or Trailer Village. There are no tall ponderosa pines here. Its predominantly a desert environment with junipers and scrub pines. This campground is more about nature than conveniences. Its a true gem of Grand Canyon.

A fantastic little campground. Each campsite has plenty of privacy from other campers, lots of shade and walking paths to explore. No hammock trees in this site, but a few of the other sites had hammocks setup. About 10 minute drive from local stores for supplies. Only complaint would be the lack of camp-hosts. Nobody on duty the entire time we were there, found that kind of odd in the busy season.

Nice spot with amazing views. Sadly, we could buy firewood at this site.

Wonderful smaller campground. 21 sites. 3 are first come. The rest are by reservation. Friendly and helpful hosts who work to fill their position well. Patrolled by the forest service. Trash and personal water available. No filling RVs. 2 composting toilets. Lovely views of Granite mountain. Tall pines too. Clean and nicely quiet.

The compostible pit toilets were great. Very clean and no smell, no flys. There is a holder below that composts the waste. Never seen it before, but I hope it catches on in other campgrounds.
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
