Beautiful rain forest with trails. Well maintained and well loved by the locals I met who come here periodically each year. Its just one of those places.

A lovely forest in all seasons that the campground is open. Very quiet and we love that.

My husband and I love this campground which is within an hour's drive from our home. We have camped here in the Spring and early Fall and have enjoyed the quiet and peacefulness Alsea Falls offers. We have a teardrop trailer and the large size campspots are perfect for setting up a multi-day stay. We have hiked several of the trails that leave out of the campground and look forward to exploring more in the future. The toilets seem to be well maintained and our only disappointment is not being able to have a fire this past visit though we certainly understand the caution that has been taken to make sure that fire does not destroy this lovely place!

The falls, while not high or majestic, are beautiful, and the area in general is great to hike and enjoy. The campground is clean and well maintained, but the no fire rule diminished the experience.

This is a small and beautiful campground; no hook-ups or cells service but it's clean and provides a short walk to the namesake's waterfalls. Good space for tents and chairs around the campfire. I was in site 3, right across from the pit toilets and frequently caught the odor wafting over.

The holy, John, was very helpuhl. I was on my first solo camper van trip, and he helped me with little mysteries, like how to fill the water tank. Nice man. #2 has a sweet little beach. Trails are well maintained and a joy to see the rainforest this time of year. Vault toilets kept clean but whew wee pew.

Wonderful experience, campground was laid out well with pleanty of privacy and room between campsites. The photo online was right on. Water, and restroom facilities were convient and the experience was quiet and very peaceful. The beautiful Oregon Cascades at their best. We want to go back again.

The tent sites are nice and they are not a very long walk from the car.

First, I appreciated the host, John. He was available and helpful.The sites are nicely spaced for privacy, clean. One bathroom was overly well used (no flush!) but a second bathroom on the back loop was cleaner, less used. Alsea Falls was a short walk. One could walk the loop across the creek, back to the campground, only about a mile. Beautiful trail.

Quite area with lots of shade. Many wonderful trails as well

Smells horrific, no privacy and no firepit access.

The first time I drove through there a few years ago, it looked pretty ratty. The next time I drove through it was packed. The camping spaces are big but the driveway spaces are pretty small. This time when I stayed, the grounds were in good shape and it wasn't all that crowded. It was really nice.

We loved the walk-in site. It was quiet and close to the creek and really close to the waterfall. We cant wait to stay here again.

Beautiful campground. Sites are large and private. Flush toilets would be great but out toilets are fine. Great hiking adjacent to the campground.

Make sure you pay attention to whether you are reserving a tent site or a campground site. They are both numbered but they are distinctly different reservations both physically and cost wise.

Alsea Falls is easily accessible and not too far from Corvallis. It has a very beautiful, smaller campground with lots of trees and shade and space between sites. The sites facing the Alsea river have little footpaths to the river to go and cool off, which is wonderful on hot days. We were in space 10, which was next to the latrines (no flush toilets here) and the only complaint I had about the space is that it occasionally got a whiff of sewage when the wind decided to blow past the latrines first before reaching us. However, we were surrounded by trees and birds and had lovely hikes, so this didn't phase us much. Even during summer vacation, there were vacant spaces during the week and other campers were polite and quiet at night. Would definitely go again.

Would have got the highest rating if we had not been without water for 3 days! I believe we are entitled to a parcial refund!

Lovely, shady, quiet campground. Just 1/2 mile walk to view the falls -- best view is from the picnic area (the other side, along the continuing trail, has its view blocked by vegetation). Earlier reviewers wrote warnings about poison oak. We saw NONE on the way up to Alsea Falls, though there was blackberry and salmon berry with 3-leaf patterns that might be mistaken for p. oak.

Perfect location

This is such a great little campground. The site we were in (02) was perfect! Not too close to neighbors, a little path down to the water, close to the pit bathroom and water spout. It was quiet and clean.

We had a great time. The campground was clean and had full carts of firewood available for $10 (about two nights of fires). Looking forward to our next trip!

I stayed in one of the hike/walk to sites. Thankfully the directions led me directly there as if youre following signs for the campsite youll end up in the wrong site. These tent sites are located in the day use area. Theres one parking spot designated for each site which was nice. An easy water spigot was across from the vault toilets and also between sites 2 and 3. The sites are smaller and definitely limit the amount of tents or size of tent you could use, so plan appropriately! My two person tent was perfect for my site. I enjoyed hearing the river and falls through the camp as white noise throughout the night.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
