This was an awesome camp! The sites are very spacious and nicely spread out. There is a trail on both sides of the river that connects to the camp and both are very lovely hikes to the falls. The bathroom is in a good spot and there is water access all over! There is a further hike to Green Peak Falls that I also did and really enjoyed. Beware that there is logging in the area so sometimes the hike can be closed with no notice until you are there. I was lucky on the day I walked it and got all the way to the falls. Some steep moments and poor conditions at some points but overall was still a nice simple hike! If I had to say anything negative, I would say that some of the sites have to share a path to the river while others have their own private ones. The trail for my site (9) shared with two others and it basically goes into a different campground which was a little awkward. But that is a very minor problem and most of the trails by the river seemed very private. I would definitely camp here again and highly recommend it!

A lovely forest in all seasons that the campground is open. Very quiet and we love that.

The falls, while not high or majestic, are beautiful, and the area in general is great to hike and enjoy. The campground is clean and well maintained, but the no fire rule diminished the experience.

Loved this campground! Very green and lush. We had site #09, which was very private. All sites from #9 down looked equally as private. Sites #10 and up are on a circle which offered less privacy. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Nice walk to the falls, short drive to the covered bridge. Would 100% come back to this campground!

Beautiful camp ground. Clean. Fun to explore. Short walk to a scenic waterfall. Found a four leaf clover on our hike.

Great park. I would avoid site #3 as it is very unlevel.

The campground was nice in many ways. The problem was a young man that seemed to have appointed himself Camp Host. He explained that he was helping the Ranger out, but there were no usual signs stating he was the Camp Host. The Ranger was there for a short time when I first arrived, but I did not see him for the rest of my 3 day stay. This guy was very friendly, in a forward way. I eventually found I need to avoid him if I wanted my peace and privacy. It was disturbing that he had what appeared to be a 9 mm semiautomatic hand gun mounted in a chest holster the whole time. He would make frequent loops of the camp ground walking or riding his electric skateboard - inspecting the camp sites like a security guard. This went on into the night. We found it very disturbing to have someone placing themselves in a position of authority and carrying a firearm - the day after 19 children were murdered in broad daylight in Texas. I have never stayed in a campground where a Host is not clearly identified, so there was no assurance that this guy was supervised or had gone through a clearance process. All very unsettling.

Excellent, peaceful spot that is managed well for family camping. Spot number 9 where we stayed has a little trail that goes right to the river. Very peaceful to hear the water running at night.

Campground was quiet, clean bathrooms. We stayed in sites 9 and 14, both had paths to the creek. Lovely!
