Lovely, shady, quiet campground. Just 1/2 mile walk to view the falls -- best view is from the picnic area (the other side, along the continuing trail, has its view blocked by vegetation). Earlier reviewers wrote warnings about poison oak. We saw NONE on the way up to Alsea Falls, though there was blackberry and salmon berry with 3-leaf patterns that might be mistaken for p. oak.

I was really impressed with this campground. Right on the Alsea River and the sites are clean and roomy. They also have trees and bushes between each other so you feel secluded.

Very large sites, some with direct access to the rive. Very nice. Close to very good mountain bike trails.

Small quiet campground. Walk to the falls is an easy and flat walk. Sites are secluded from each other. Potable water and clean pit toilets. Will definitely return

We tented at Site 16 and had ample space for two tents and a 10x10 tarp overhead. There is a walking path from the campground to Alsea Falls and Green Peak falls which was a moderate hike round trip. Some sections closed for rehabilitation. The campsite had two picnic tables and a fire ring which we used for cooking. Trails from this site also lead directly to river. Very clean campsite and restrooms taken care of. Parking space for one car, more available for a fee.

Loved how quiet it was and the short hike to both waterfalls nearby was wonderful

Awesome campground with all the necessary amenities. It was nice to camp close to the creek. We came for the nearby bike trails and were not disappointed! Very nice machine built flow trails, with camping right nearby. Tough to beat! We look forward to coming back!

Awesome campground with all the necessary amenities. It was nice to camp close to the creek. We came for the nearby bike trails and were not disappointed! Very nice machine built flow trails, with camping right nearby. Tough to beat! We look forward to coming back!

We loved our stay at Alsea Falls! We camped in site 16, a group site, so there was lots of room. All the campsites have plenty of trees and shrubs and privacy and being by the river is great. The campground was clean and well kept up; hosts were friendly. We loved the hike to both Falls and of course the mountain bike trails are magnificent. Great place to stay. 5 stars.
