Salt Springs Rec Area is located in the Lake George Ranger District, National Forests in Florida (44 min northeast of Ocala, FL) with an elevation of 31 feet. There are a total of 148 campsites including 50 tent-only sites. The campground is open all year. 98 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 40 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 98 sites have electric and water hookups. Fees range from $30.62 to $65.05. Some amenities include shower, dump station, playground, boat ramp, restroom, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

We loved it! There werent any pictures of the campsites on the reservation site but we ended up very happy with ours - good size, grass cover and shade. The restrooms were clean and the place overall was well kept. It was a beautiful setting for a 4-family camping weekend get together.

The park was so nice....entrance and gate house all seasonally decorated. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We were there to explore the Jeep trails nearby and they were kind enough to provide us with a map. We will definitely be back to stay there again and do the Jeep trails. We drove to the Springs area in the park to look at it...but hadn't brought swimsuits with us this trip...next time

Although the weather wasn't the best we still enjoyed this beautiful campground. Loved that roads and site was paved and an extra plus that it had sewer hookup! Bathrooms were spotless as well. Added perk was the small grocery and a Dollar General just outside the gate and even restaurant/pizza.

Great staff and spacious sites. The full hookups were the nicest Ive ever seen complete with stainless steel catch basin! This campground is somewhat remote so plan on meals at the campsite. There is a grocery store about a mile away.

Salt Springs what can I say a beautiful park very well maintained The people there are great We go there about three times a year The springs are beautiful I'm an old man and I can get into the water and walk and enjoy myself The place is very clean Then get in and out of our camp spot What can I say it's a gold mine it's a beautiful place Thank you keep up the good work guys

Excellent campground owned by US Forest Service but ran by a 3rd party vendor. Its a very good campground and the staff were friendly. You have access to the springs for swimming. The only downside is the vendor charges more than is necessary and has wired parking rules at the springs area. Also some restoration project has created an eyesore in the springs area area that is done poorly.

The campgrounds are well kept and maintained. Everyone was nice and pleasant. We stayed during the week so it was quiet. My wife and I just hang at the site or go for walks with our dog. Had a great time there and we will be back soon.

We enjoy the salt springs campground and try to stay once a year. Staff is great! Restrooms are clean and property is kept up nice.

Loved the campsite and the springs. Be sure to bring floats or life vests for little kids. Only complaint is the chiggers and micro ticks. If you go on any trails, be sure to wear back woods bug spray and tall socks.

Park was very clean. Concession was closed at the spring. Shower water temperature was scalding no matter how you adjusted the faucet. Disappointing. Will return and book again.
