It was a good camping experience mostly for the salt springs itself and the nice walking around the campground. But there were some issues here. The camp sites are close together and some sites have very little space. The bathrooms were inconsistent, some days they were nice, clean, and dry and other days they were a wet mess. Someone was mopping too often with too much water. Also, this is a natural setting, the hosts should not feel the need to run the leaf blowers constantly from 9-11 on the sites that were vacated. We all expect to find nature here. The mornings were very unpleasant because of the leaf blowers.

Overall, the park is very nice and it is well kept. However, there are so many rules that my 10-year-old son and are whole family did not have much fun as there is just no way to be a kid or bike and have fun because there are rules to restrict most everything you would like to do. They did have a basketball court area which was fun but there was rules to that. They also had cornhole but no cornhole bags and there were some rules included with that. The spring was beautiful but we tried swimming and there were so many rules that it wasn't so fun. Anyways, we planned on going to many national parks. Due to this visit, we will not be staying in any national parks going forward.

This was a great location. From entry, there are places for campers/trailers to easily pull to the side to check in without blocking traffic. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The campsite is great. Plenty of room. Cell signal with ATT worked great. The springs were easy to access and very beautiful. We spent the whole weekend just at Salt Springs but heard there are lots of other close springs that we should check out. We will for sure be retuning.

Great National Forest Campground. Concrete trailer pads with water, electric, and sewer hook ups.

The campground has roomy and clean sites. Restrooms are also clean and well maintained. The springs are beautifully clear.

The campground was ok, not as shaded as the online pictures showed. The Saltwater Spring itself was beautiful and worth the trip. The Bear swamp trail was pretty bad- very buggy and not labeled well at all. Wish the store at the springs was open a little later but overall a nice campground.

Park staff was friendly and helpful upon arrival. The sites were nicely spaced, paved and level, surrounded by gravel and grass. Bathrooms/showers had minor issues but were modern and clean. Lots of grassy tree space to walk dogs. Wi-fi was pretty decent and Verizon had 3 bars. The best part of our stay was accessibility to the Salt Springs swimming area. Unfortunately, during our visit in mid April we saw no manatees as they'd already moved south. Our only disappointment was that after placing our recyclables in the bins, an attendant dumped all but the aluminum cans into the trash dumpster. It would be helpful to know the fate of our recycle collection prior to disposal. Had we known they'd be discarded we could have held them until we found a recycle center elsewhere.
